When i read something that gives such a minute amount of information, i assume the poster isn't really interested in the quality of responses, rather he/she is looking for a plethora of cyber/e-mail.

I've had similar experiences but if people are serious, well I hope they post ads that help them find others that are equally as serious... the old i am your master email thread in the bdsm chat forum had many funny examples of such.

Can see what this discussion is about, and in my search I also didn't respond to short and uninformative type ads simply because there was not enough time to spend on contacting those that might not be what I was seeking, but then I also was not being forced to respond. Didn't stop me from finding the one I sought, and if asked by Dominants why I had not previously responded to their advert I was honest but respectful in outlining my reasons. I think it is easy to jump to conclusions about why a person doesn't put much in an ad, but IMX it has often been, in both the vanilla and BDSM world, the fact that males (and many females) do not necessarily think of such things, have the honed skills in self advertising, perhaps do not feel natural doing this, especially if it is a new thing for them to search for another in this way.

Which is why I've been trying to encourage people to put a little more of themselves out there - it's tough and it takes some guts. But the rewards can be great. And people aren't going to find you so mysteriously alluring that they have to find out more about you when you only say you're just another submissive or just another dominant looking for a lover/owner/pet/what-have-you. And I strongly suspect anyone who just lists their physical characteristics is out for an easy fuck and if so, not my thing but I wish you luck

Which is exactly why we posted our list of requirements to start off with - of course, we still got tons of worthless idiots hoping for some kinky sex on the side ... but I'd like to think that we got higher quality than we would have otherwise.
