Since we all come from a varity of generations Cultures and countries I'd like to know what You guys define as good makeout/sex music

I always kind of liked Ani DeFranco Annie Lennox and Nina Simone, D'angelo and sometimes I can get into The angst of Fiona Apple though she comes of as a bit of a nutter. more recently I've gotten into India Arie (especially the song brown skin) and Vivan Green

ps. Although Tina Turner is my female adonis can't really get into having sex to her tunes.

The 1812 darling, go off every time the cannon does, hehe!!

You may think me a bit strange, (cos I am), but I still get a bit carried away with a good old heavy rock number playing, used to as a teen and still do now.
Something about the energy of the music transposing with the engergies of the sex act in progress maybe.

pops................:D PS: Yea good old Tina, horny looking sod.

It all depends on what kind of making-out I want to do.

For slow, romantic kissing, I choose some sugary ballads by Az Yet.
For humorous wrestling, it's Roxette.
And for passionate foreplay - DJ Alligator, baby!

Anything by Tom Jobim, some songs by Smoke City, a lot by Billie Holiday, ...

Ah, forget it. I'm pretty flexible. i've made out to the sound of anything from Malcolm McLaren's Jazz in Paris to Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up.

That's easy Teddy Pendergras (spelling)

With lines like:
...
Turn off the lights
and light a candle
...
Let's take a shower
a shower together
I'll wash your body
and you wash mine
....
I want to love you
love you all over
....

My all time kiss ass love tune, besides I saw him in concert and women "were" throwing panties on the stage. No shit.

The greatest makeout song of all time is Only the Lonely by the Motels.

The next greatest makeout song of all time is You've Lost that Loving Feelingby the Righteous Brothers.

The third greatest makeout song of all time is Elvis Presley's Falling in Love with You.

Use these three songs to warm-up, and everything else will fall into place.

A song by Michael Ball called "The Last Night of the World." His voice and that wailing saxophone, play this and I am yours.

OK, feeling out of place, but I always use classical, even opera. Once had a great O at the end of LvB's Eroica, the third symphony, a life force of sounds. Symphonies are good time lengths too, but of course may require repeating. Brahms little piano pieces are good for my clit.

The 1812, Pops? Nooooo, just too weird a piece and then I have to work at getting it out of my head, but for you - anything.

Good old R&R can get me worked up though. It happened to me as a very young girl only I didn't know what was happening.

Tina Turner, yeah, turns on any gender or age; hers in '70 as an opening act (still w/Ike) the best concert ever. And then there's Ronnie Spector insinuating orgasms all over the place (they seemed to thrive in her throat). Oh, Marvin Gaye and Smokey, yummy sex in the voices themselves. I'd always choose the Stones over the Beatles too. (I know nothing of today's, or the last 20 years of pop music.)

Pops, destinie, et al,

It's been over 30 years since I first caugh Tina Turner's act, and I'd still like to be re-incarnated as her microphone. :)

As for mellow make-out mood music don't forget, Barry White, may he RIP.

For those into Pops' type of high energy make-out music, James Brown is first-rate.

When it comes to soundtracks, some of the young 'uns out there may not be familiar with the soundtrack to the 1968 film version of, "Romeo and Juliet" by Franco Zeffirelli. If so, it's their loss.

Now where'd I leave that crank for the old Victrola?

I like Schubert's Lieder, especially if by Fischer-Diskau and accompanied by Gerald Moore, or an early Beethoven piano sonata.

For "popular" I like Elvis's Wooden Heart.

Ogg, that's so sweet. I like that one too, love Elvis' tender voice.

Love F-D too.

Okay! I admit it. I'm weird. :(

I use a series of ambient background sound effects recordings, called “Elementals.”

“Rain on a Pine Forest” is neutral.

"Pounding Surf" is . . . er . . . primal.

“The Ultimate Thunderstorm” is challenging.

And, on those cold winter evening, the sounds of “A Rustic Fireplace” can be soothing.

Each of these tracks are 30 minutes long, (originally on vinyl) but I have taped each beaklessly, down both sides of a cassette tape, for playing in an auto-reverse cassette player, just in case we need more than thirty minutes, or even an hour. ;)

If needs must, I can manage with “The Mormon Tabernacle Choir” in the background  , but if I have any control over the choice, that’s it.

It doesn’t matter how much I may admire a particular performer, at that point, I would rather be on my own, thank you very much.

I'm not sure what 'making out' is.

I can't recall ever having sex while there was music on. It would seem a curious distraction.

For lying in each other's arms when the clouds are flitting by outside and time is meaningless and we're thinking how nice that was, and it is to be in each other's arms... certain kinds of pop music can get past my general dislike of it. The Corrs, most recently: they're wonderful.

Much though I love lieder, I can't picture The Hurdy-Gurdy Man doing good to anyone's libido.

Great seeing you in triplicate, hon.

Music to woo woo woo

"Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers. Whenever I hear it on the radio, I get sooooo .... lonesome. It was originally recorded in the 50s, but I can't remember who did it.

Handel's "Water Music" is nice for snuggling by a fireplace. Even better if there's a fire going.

Other favorites:
Grieg's Piano Concerto
"Eine Kleine Nachtmusik"
Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto (VERY romantic)

MG

Ps. For some reason, I've had "Jeremiah was a bullfrog........." running through my head for several days. Very disconcerting when I'm out in public and start singing it.
Ps. Joy to the world.

I caught her last tour in the states back in 2000 and boy does she still have it. Still I was kind of dienchanted as my companion and I seemed to be the only one's there under 30 speaks volumes about the music today:confused:
