Make-Up...Cosmetics, Not Relationships.

FINALLY! This is my kinda thread!

I have a deep infatuation with Philosophy make-up as of late. Their Complete Me powder foundation is amazing! How can this stuff that looks like loose powder make me look so good! I also love their Supernaturals gel color! You smear it on your lips and cheeks and it gives you this natural color...like you're blushing...and stays on like forever! I also love Rimmel eyeshadows and liquid eyeliners, this stuff is cheap $3.97 or less, but looks great and lasts all day. And just for you Pypher, I am a Bloom nut! They've got these little lip gloss/lip color stuff that makes my lips soft. They come in little tubes like Vaseline lip stuff, so they're very handy to stick in your pocket.
I am also a Sage Skin Care fanatic! This is the only stuff I'll clean my face with! I swear, before I started using Sage, my face was so dry in areas it was flakey but so oily in others mosturizers made it break out! What to do? Use Sage because even the mosturizers don't cause my face to break out. My skin finally looks good enough that I don't even have to wear make-up if I don't want to! You can buy it online or by calling their 800 number. Here's the link, check it out if you're not happy with your current cleansers. Also email me if you have any questions (getting down off soap box).

I wear very little makeup because I can't find anyone to show me how to do it right. I have really fair skin so finding foundation is nearly impossible. I also wear glasses, so have a hard time with eye makeup. Most makeup breaks me out, I actually do better with Cover Girl, EL & Clinique gave me a rash. Anyone willing to give makeovers, come to my house. I see pictures of me from the last year & cringe.

I jump around a lot. I've always used Clinique skin care stuff - that 3-step thing, plus the Turnaround Cream (I have the driest skin!) at night. Make-up-wise, I'm using Neutrogena base in Ivory (it's really light & fine and goes on smoothly), Coty loose powder (been using their Translucent for years - can't find better anywhere else!), Stila eye shadows (two colors, a tan and a green), Almay one-coat mascara, Stila brow and eye pencils, Almay liquid eyeliner, Stila pressed powder compact (to take with me), and Ultima II Glowtion lipstick - which is the best thing for lips to come along in a while! It has a pretty sheen to it without being cheap-looking.

I get a burning sensation with everything from Clinique, even the mildest stuff. It was a surprise to the Clinique person, too; I bought a very mild cleanser and toner and came back the next day with a burning rash.

I just have exceedingly weird skin. Damn it.

So did I! I don't know what to go for anymore...I've tried some of the "Physicians Formula" stuff and it's been okay. I can tollerate some sensitive skin Olay stuff, but the best moisturizer I've tried is called "Complex 15". It's great and very light and did not hurt me at all or cause a breakout. I so wish the company that makes it would make Make-up too!

I'm definitely gonna look up that Sage stuff! And CB, you can find Philosophy everywhere! Try http://www.drugstore.com

I use St Ive's Facial Cleaser and Makeup remover. It's in a yellow tube. That stuff freakin rocks. I use Biore foam moisturizer too. And this stuff by St. Ives thats supposed to minimize dark undereye circles, but it aint working

Anyone got anything to get ridda dark circles?!

I got my Philosophy at some department store (Neiman Marcus or Lazarus maybe) because I was afraid of matching colors on the internet....seemed to risky for a $30 foundation and returns are a pain in the butt!
(yet another sales pitch for Sage) Great stuff! I had my eyelashes dyed (pretty cool! no mascara for almost 6 months) and the stuff they used to remove the dye from my skin was so harsh it looked like I had been burned. I think the fact that I have dry skin made it worse. Anyway I emailed Sage asking what they thought I should do. To my astonishment I got emails almost immediately from not only the owner, Barbara is the best, but another person as well. Then they followed up a day later asking if I was ok. Man! Would L'Oreal or anybody else do that? Even if I emailed their web site's customer support? Doubtful. Email me if any of you have questions and I'll quit preaching.
