2010. Day 3. So what are your resolutions for the new year?

Will you save more? spend less? eat less? exercise more? spend less time with your computer? spend more time with your kids? Will you try something new? Will you have a grand adventure?

Write it down. Post for all the world to see and more importantly to remind yourself that you have a goal. If you haven't made a resolution yet, it's not too late. Think of something fun, wild or silly that you'd like to accomplish and post that.

If you break your resolution, post that too, but if it's something important keep trying. You have all year.

So starting off...... This year I'm going to clean out my basement and only keep the stuff that brings me joy. Everything else has got to go!

I was nearly not going to make any resolutions this year -- but then I thought about it and changed my mind....

So this is what I came up with:

To spend more time with friends
and to try to be more accepting of myself.

Everything else will either get done or not get done....:)

Those are both excellent! :) :rose:

You're right, nobody ever gets to their death bed and says I wish I had spent more time cleaning.

You might be wrong! I may very well go to my death bed groaning about the state of our attic!! Just not this year:D:kiss:

I generally don't make New Years resolutions but this year I'm going to and hopefully stick to them.....
1) change my eating habits and exercise more
2) work on my relationship
3) start a new hobby
4) keep my credit cards locked up

I resolve to get things done around the house this year.

First priority: re-doing the kitchen.

Any ideas on the hobby?

As for your credit cards, I've been told that if you seriously want to keep yourself from using them without actually canceling the account, you should fill a coffee can half full of water, freeze it, put your credit card in the can, fill it the rest of the way with water and put it back in the freezer. It will take a while to thaw the ice and retrieve the card. :)

Doing a full remodel or just updating?

I tend to avoid resolutions, but I'll make an exception for this thread.

In the converse of Adreamtoshare's post, I resolve to be more accepting of others.

Thank you for making an exception. That's fantastic! I wish we could make that the resolution of Lit this year. :)

I was not going to make any resolutions this year, but since this is my first full year being single, I resolve to go out to do things by myself, like seeing movies or eating out, more often.

Wonderful Maggie! Lots of people don't like to do those kinds of things on their own. Personally, I love doing both. Movies are easier since you're sitting in the dark and not expected to talk anyway. I usually take a book when I go out to eat alone. I can read or just people watch.

You'll be surprised how much more independent and self assured you'll feel once you feel comfortable just enjoying your own company. :rose: (Not to mention, it's easier to flirt if somebody catches your attention.)

Thank you nauti...:rose: I've never done either. I have a difficult time doing things alone. But after spending the first 3 days of the year alone and snowed in I realize I've got to start. I like the book idea, but I also love to people watch..

I hope you're right about the rest...:)

Well I'm gonna try my hand at building a rocket but that's more for Fagin than me. I would really like to take up something dance or art related. If I could find classes up here I'd definitely take up pole dancing :D

Good idea on the credit cards, I just may do that.

That can be hard to do. I generally don't have a problem seeing a movie by myself but I've never been able to go eat alone. I guess that's something I need to work on also.

I second Avatar!

I'm off to lunch alone. :) You should go soon and try it out. :rose:

I bet you'll build a kick ass rocket! You should check into the community service office in your school district. I'm not sure you'll find pole dancing, but I know ours usually has a decent variety of fun classes open to the public. There may be something that captures your interest.

C'mon, doesn't anyone else have a resolution to share??

I'm adding a new one.... This year I will participate in a MFM threesome. :D
