"...his (Trump's) boorish performance was puzzling. He lumbered awkwardly around the stage, seemingly unaware of how to stand like a human person."

He didn’t seem to know what to do with his face, licking his lips and appearing distracted when he wasn’t the one doing the talking. He loomed over Hillary Clinton, stalking behind her and glaring at her as she answered questions, in a manner that many women might recognize as the sort of way a man who is trying to physically intimidate them might act.

He whined about the moderators, barking over co-moderator ABC News chief global affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz when she tried to get him to answer a question about Syria. He interrupted Hillary Clinton. He just couldn’t stop himself from interjecting “WRONG” into her microphone and speaking over her during her allotted time.

News media outlets are all displaying comments about Trump's behavior during Hillary's replies at the debate.

Trump would fidget, and wander around the stage. It was not his opportunity to speak. Trump used his time to display hostile facial expressions, knowing he was included in her camera shots. Trump was standing behind Hillary close enough to touch her. I half expected him to deny that he was touching her.

It was a peculiar moment to see Trump's hostile glare reflected back to him, from a member of the audience.

There is something wrong with this man.

Trump does not seem to be able to behave in an appropriate manner.
Who behaves like a six year old child, when the nation is watching ?
Something about his inability to control his actions, reminds me of tranquilized
animals featured in nature programs. It might explain the wet sniffles.

I have heard Trump promise that he would behave in a more Presidential manner.

"I will be so presidential," he said, "you will be so bored. You'll say, 'Can't he have a little more energy?'"

This might explain his vulgaity, his rudeness, and his total lack of adult manners.
He lacks the capacity to behave like an adult.

Trump may have had a disorder during his lifetime, that has developed into something more serious, now that he has approached old age.
Trump has not directly approached the issues of his intolerance for reading, or tasks that require concentration.
During debates, he cannot form replies to direct questions.
He falls back on repetitive messages.

He had his 70th birthday, this summer.

Trump’s inadequacies were on full display during his first presidential debate against Hillary Clinton. Trump was a disaster. He failed to articulate coherent answers to many of the most obvious questions. He was unable to defend against Clinton’s anticipated assertions. And he simply could not execute the most basic debating skills of quickly answering questions about his weaknesses and then pivoting to strengths.

IMO, he performs better in the debates than I expected. I fully expect him to have melt downs. I put it down to being medicated by his handlers before he goes on stage. He wants to erupt but the meds keep him mellow (a relative term).

The standing behind her bit is quite creepy. Has to be in the camera shot!

He's definitely medicating before the debate. I've been wondering if he's taking some kind of opioid, which might explain his sniffles. I think it's common to have different allergic reactions to them. I think I read this somewhere a while back.

Wow, you anti-Trump people are a hoot. Someone has "sniffles" and you speculate about opioids because you "read this somethere a while back. " Clearly, Hillary is a sick woman, but you want to focus on Trump's alleged physical maladies.

Neither of these candidates are worthy of being POTUS. Trump is a crude lout. So is Hillary ("when are these fuckin' reeeetards going to leave?")- in addition, she is a chronic liar. It' s a Hobson's choice in terms of character, but the real question is which is better for America.

Hillary sick, no way but she sure was shrewd last night by not putting Trump down and out. By not putting Trump down, the GOP is stuck with him rather than having Pence step in to fill the void.

Trump even made the 'loser' sign behind Hillary's back last night. His behavior was not good last night. He kept doing the Texas Two Step instead of addressing the questions asked.

And you old white alt men are all the same: miserable whiny thin-skinned men who can't get it up so you have to pretend you can by acting like a jackass.

Alleged? I was giving an opinion. If it had been Hillary sniffing at both debates, I would have said the same thing. You old geezers are under the delusion that the First Amendment is still for white men only.

That's making the radical assumption Hillary was in any position to finish off Trump.

Not really. She could have spent ten minutes running down all of the legal problems he has and/or all the sexual problems (to do both would take twenty minutes). She hasn't done that.

There's always the third debate.

And I quite agree that she doesn't want Trump to withdraw at this point and for the the Republicans to bring in someone who hasn't been battle scarred for a year. (Not Pence, however, because they're all ready, with plenty of ammunition, to keep thinking women from running to him.)

I don't think it would have played well. Just like a lot of us are and have been genuinely tired of hearing about her emails I don't think Hillary could really have leaned on those to any positive effect. As it stands most of us agree this debate was much closer than the last one.

Even on the e-mails, she has an opening to ask why Trump's and the RNC e-mails haven't been dropped into the American election process by foreign entities. On the issue of foreign messing around in U.S. elections--by Russia alone--I and a good 20 percent of Americans would quite purposely not vote for the candidate the foreign entity obviously is pushing. I would not vote for him on that issue alone--even if he wasn't revealing he's a dupe of the Russians, as he showed last night on who he said was fighting ISIS in Syria, which is at variance with just about everyone else, including his own VP candidate.

We've got a lot of issues that could be covered in the third debate that the Dems have held back on (e.g., now that he's admitted he hasn't paid anything in federal taxes for eighteen years, what are the other reasons he won't release his taxes for scrutiny?). Most likely, though, all she'll have to do is be there and smile through his ultimate meltdown. (If he shows up.)

I love it, though, that you and others here are such diehards. The morning of November 9th here might be a very sweet one. :)

Other people would have faced prosecution, and probably jail time, had he done with classified information what she did. She betrayed a public trust, then, of course, lied about it (no classified info blah blah blah).

About three-quarters of the government could be thrown in the slammer for the same thing if the Republican witch hunt of Hillary had succeeded. Which it didn't. The fact is that the e-mail revolution crept in and took over without very many folks catching up to what the downside would be when hacking inevitably happened.

The upside of this is that government employees, including Hillary Clinton, (and others in the private sector, as well) now know how iffy it is, and the smarter ones will avoid letting significant content be hacked. Thirty years ago, when I was in intelligence, I was taught not to say much of anything over the telephone for the same reason.

Your problem is that you want it just to be Hillary so you can have a successful witch hunt, and that was already tried and she wasn't found guilt. So sorry, you don't get to double dip that one except in lying about it in written attacks.

And, while we're on the subject, The Donald knows so little about the government and the office he's trying to get that he isn't aware that, since Nixon, there's a law saying the president can't demand his AG go after any specific person. This goes with him not realizing that a president can't start deporting anyone the day he takes office either. It ain't that simple or that fast.

Mr. T drags Buffett into the ring last night and gets himself SLAMMED today

Lying about other Billionaires? Shame on him!

Release your taxes Mr. T! What scares you? The voters?

It's obvious that Tromp will lose. It's quite possible that he'll drag the GOP establishment of corporate pawns down with him, giving HRC a pliable congress to pass her programs and nominees -- to benefit a different set of corporations.

I very much doubt Trump and his fervent supporters will shut up after the votes are counted -- or miscounted? Millions will deny the legitimacy of defeat. I expect Tromp to quickly setup a rabidly paranoid media outlet to out-Fox Fox -- Alex Jones on steroids. I fear Tromp and his minions will provoke violence, even insurrection, and trigger a backlash.

I fear for the future. I fear the 2016 election is a no-win event.

Gracias, but I'd more likely head south for cheap mezcal and mota and all the mole I can stand. Sorry, your place is just too expensive. And chilly.

Bermuda's nice. My hidey hole is in the Mediterranean, though.

Roger Waters bashes Donald Trump at Desert Trip's final day
October 10, 2016

Before dipping into the "Animals" album four large smokestacks rose from the top of the stage, their tops glowing white like plumes that floated into the dark from them, the video backdrop now a massive factory, the overall look a recreation of that record's cover art.

"Animals" offered up a run of songs from that 1977 album though fans will mostly be talking about only one, "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" which delivered a long and eviscerating critique of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. From the opening lyrics -- "Big man, pig man / Ha ha charade you are" -- to the visuals on screen that portrayed Trump in vivid Warhol-esque pop art renderings, some of them bordering on obscene, Waters used the number to make perfectly clear how dangerous he sees the prospect of a Trump presidency.

By the end of the song he'd brought out his trademark floating pig, a huge red inflatable porker on which were written critiques such as "(Bleep) Trump and his wall," and "Trump is a lying, racist, sexist pig." On the massive video screen quotes from Trump that many have found offensive scrolled past until a final screen stopped on "Trump is a pig."

Jimmy Carter tried to warn us.

Everything that is hurting America, could have been stopped.

Nixon was a lesson that was ignored.

Ronald Reagan sold America out.
Ronald Reagan had no moral compass.
The Republicans wanted to win so badly,
they used treachery, betrayal, and treason.

2016

We have found another man that is willing to sell America out.
Another man with no moral compass.

Hobson's Choice is no choice. You take what you get. In this election there are 4 candidates.

I fear for the future. I fear the 2016 election is a no-win event.

Neither of these candidates are worthy of being POTUS.

These two sentences.

Time for a math lesson. There are a few assumptions here, but the numbers are fairly accurate. I am not a political person, so here is a salt shaker, everyone grab a grain.

Lets call the parties split even with a 10% buffer for independents. That would mean, at max, 77.4% of the country hates her 77.4% of the country hates him. Around 50% falls in the group that hates both. Conversations I have personally had supports this.

Neither candidate needed more than 22.6% of votes to get a nomination. Thank God for the two party system.
