The only western country where polls have regularly shown majority support for mass immigration is Canada, and even there some of the methodology is questionable. In all other western countries, majorities have consistently opposed mass immigration, legal and illegal, for decades.

Often we are told that public policy can't go against the polls on this issue or that issue. Yet, the ultimate issue that will determine the future, polls and public opinion are apparently irrelevant. Interesting.

Isn't it true that Canada, like Australia et al., considers the needs of the receiving country first?

Isn't it true that, if a country has a vast welfare system, it is at peril if it has open borders and birthright citizenship?
