Claudia sighed in disbelief that she could not get this spell right. She looked around her her circle was perfect,the candles aligned,the spell was good and the dagger placed proper so what the hell was the matter.

Letting out a combination of a growl and scream she plopped on her back smacking her head outside the circle and rubbed her red curled hair.Crinkling her nose and mumbling something under her breath.just relax,breathe in and out she put her hands on her stomach feeling her stomach expand as she took deep breaths.

stretching her arms and legs so she was straight and aligned she closed her eyes and felt something warm but cool on her face she opened her eyes as she looked she came eye to eye with a hair spider. She took her hand and grabbed it and shivered your a nasty thing ew

She took it into the other room and placed it in the cage,sticking her pierced tongue out and replying "yuck" as she sanitized her hand. Closing her eyes she felt a presence outside as she looked it was her brother,he was more involved with magic than Claudia was he actually taught her about it.

The magic part she was not good at but the tarrot reading and the sixth sense she was wonderful at that was her talent.She walked out and came up behind her brother and hugged him wrapping her arms around his stomach.

"your spider was out of his cage and crawled on me again" she sighed as she unwrinkled her black little dress.

Setting a large brown rucksack on the creaking underfoot planks of the porch, Henry's eyes rose from the ground to meet his sister's. Glittering green, they narrowed as a small, mischievous smile spread across his full lips. Crouching down, his eyes lowered to her feet and then - as his hands searched for something among the items of his load - let out a barely audible laugh. Henry was typically quiet. But he could always appreciate teasing his lovely sister.

'Don't take it as an affront Claudia..... Benno has always had a thing for you in his spidery, hairy heart'

Placing something in his back pocket, he rose to his full height, an easy four inches taller than his sister. He was as handsome as she was beautiful, but her exact opposite in terms of features. His jet black hair feel loosely around his forehead and ears, framing his dark, olive skin. His lean frame revealed the slim muscles that seemed to exist just beneath his skin at all times, moving in his neck and forearms.

He stepped forward and gave her a kiss on the cheek as he moved by her into the house's landing. His hand gently brushed her elbow.

'What did you have going on in here....', noticing the circle on the floor.

As Henry said that she crinkled her face "that spider is gross" she laughed as he kissed her cheek walking into the house. sighing as he asked his question "I tried to do a spell,which did not work for some reason" she shook her head and took a breath.

Making her way to her the bar by her room and got some spring water and chugged the water down like she had not had a drink in about a month.Reaching in her pocket to get out her kiwi homemade lip gloss. Claudia noticed Henry look at her " what?" she asked as she walked by her brother she pouted her lip and walked into her room she kneed down and picked up a white and cream colored large rat. "George how did you get out" she walked over and placed him back in the fifty gallon tank and fed him some cheese crackers.

Picking up the sanitizer she again sanitized her hands humming a little looking at her brother as he shook his head "you have your spider,I have my rat" she looked at him and smiled.Looking down at the circle "I tried to make it storm"

Crouching down on his heels, Henry moved his fingers just above the lines of Claudia's circle. His eyes moved back and forth quickly, and a small smile grew back across his lips.

'What kind of storm are we talking about, sis? Because you're about half-way between and hurricane and drizzle.....Haha, we may have been lucky this didn't work..... You could have taken down the whole house if it had shifted to the more powerful end of the spectrum....'

Rising from the ground, Henry walked around the circle twice, thinking and then leaned against the railing of the stairwell.

'Are you just fooling around, or was there a purpose behind all this?'

"I wanted a thunderstorm,you know how I like them" she smiled as she walked to him "I am tired of just being the one who can see the future,and sense danger,I want to be good at spells to,like mom was before she" Claudia voice trailed soft as she held her head down.

she walked over to Henry "I just want to be able to carry the family name to,what kind of witch would I be if I can't even get a simple spell that anyone can do"

sighing as she started to cry "You know how evaluation is coming up and how hard dad is on me" she sniffled and smirked "can you help me?"

Henry's face softened at the sight of his sister's pain. Walking over to her, he wrapped one long, lean arm around her shoulder and pulled her small frame in against his chest and ribs. Patting her soft curly hair, he pushed his lips gently into her forehead and paused. Mention of their mother.... well, he still couldn't talk about it very well.

'Whatever you need, Claudia....... You know that I will always be here to help you.'

Taking her hand, Henry led her over towards the circle and knelt down beside her work. Reassessing it with his eyes, he picked up a handful of sand and quickly rearranged a few lines..... mixing the grains with the chalk lines. Claudia's sweet smell filled the air between them... He exhaled.

'You just need to make sure that everything is symmetrical..... Even the slight difference in the angle of the lines can change the strength of the storm.... Or make it fizzle out before it can get started.....'

As his hands moved over the sand, the air inside the house dropped sharply in temperature as the branches that lined the walkway shifted and brushed against the deck in the sudden wind.

Watching closely to see what Henry was doing she smiled at him,as she felt the wind in her hair. the way the breeze felt cool against her skin,and the way it made her hair flow like something in one of them movies with the attractive girl,and the handsome guy or something lame like that.

She shoved a book of shadows to Henry "I found this in the attic,do you think it was moms?" she slowly took her hand off of it and looked at Henry he suddenly had a look of worry on his face. She took a deep breath and looked at him "did I do something wrong?" Claudia looked puzzled as she heard her brother clear his throat.

Claudia still felt the wind in her hair so she recited her spell and before she knew it,the storm had brewed and she could feel a little bit of rain coming in from the window,looking out of it her white see through curtains blowing in the wind she peered out of the window and gasped at what she saw. Slowly stepping away from the window and into her brother "there is something out there Henry"

Fear had swept over here,she had never seen or felt a presence like that "what is out there?"
