Since it is considered a "lucky" or "magic date", can we all collectively decide that tomorrow, Friday, August 8, 2008 is a magic date? Anything can happen but it "will" be a special day.

What do you think?

Ah, sweet magic. Where would I be without thee?

Hey maybe I should buy me a lottery ticket. Don;t worry people when I win the millions I'll still know ya'll:D

I can roll with it being a magic day. Sounds better than just another Friday. Besides, the Olympics start tomorrow.

A magical day sounds like anything can happen...I could use some magic right about now. ;)

That's WHY the olympics start today......8 in China is considered a VERY auspicious number, it was chosen deliberately......what could be better than 3 of them on the start day?

Well, I've had 17 hours of it so far, and it's just been Friday. A cold, grey and bloody miserable Friday in fact.

Well I am a little biased. It is my Birthday :D and yes I do feel very lucky :) :rose:

080808 Bring it on!!! (was gonna wait til 8.08am here to post it but knowing Lit it wont go through for another half hour! :D)

Have a lucky day all :rose:

But...

It's only 08-08-08 reckoning from the assumed birthdate of Jesus Christ and the Chinese government don't believe in Jesus. So how can it be lucky for them?

It isn't even 2008 by several calendars widely used in the world.

quibbles

A taradiddle, og-- everyone did the millennium thing. Kuala Lumpur, Delhi, it didn't matter.

The Chinese word for 'eight' is a homophone of the word for 'prosperity.'
