Interesting because I would put them in that term as it's always been defined.
But if you listen to people who support Trump, they've apparently bastardized the term. They say people like Liz Cheney and now Murkowski and any conservative who is not a Trump supporter is a RHINO.

If you're a democrat, don't bitch about it, embrace it, he's splitting the party. Then again the progressives are doing that to the left as well. Maybe soon we'll see splinter parties.

The Trump peeps want to replace Murkowski with Palin. After all, Murkowski was the only repub to not vote for Kavanaugh, so she's obviously a disgrace to the far right being all pro woman's rights and all.

McCain, like Liz Cheney, is the lesser of two evils compared to Trump, whose policies are far more destructive than anything those two would have concocted while in office.

The left disagreed with McCain and voted against him. With Trump, even moderates as well as liberals would have done anything they could to prevent him from remaining in office- even voting for someone with whom they disagree.

In Idaho, we have a governor, Brad Little. He sucks; caring nothing for the things that make our state special, caring nothing for civil liberties or freedoms (basically wants to overturn them.) He does support education (to an extent) and smaller government, which is good. This woman, Janis McBitchen (McGeachin) ran against him in the primary. An outspoken racist, wants to force rape victims to carry pregnancies to term, even if the pregnancy is life-threatening, wants to abolish all environmental regulations, sell off all public lands, is anti-education, and wants the power to overturn all elections in which the Republican candidate does not win. Needless to say, Trump endorsed her and she was proud of it.

I don't like Brad Little, but I sure as heck voted for him, and I was more relieved than glad that he won the primary.

Thus, it is the same with McCain, Murkowski, and Liz Cheney. People may disagree with them on many things, but like our Brad Little, they are at least reasonable conservatives, as opposed to far-right unreasonable extremists.

This exactly. Cheney voted for whatever maga hats wanted 94% of the time.
