For Gagonthis and Kuuroinochou

"Crap!" Mikii cried out as she looked at her pocket watch. She knew she was going to be a bit behind the time but was it really an hour. The Hatter was going to deduct her pay... again! "I can't afford to miss out on my rent this month." She whinned rushing with all her might through the Forbidden Forest.

As she rushed along she could see the telltale signs of her co-worker Cheshire. The girl knew how to make an entrance that much was for sure. As her stripped tail and ears came into view they floated along beside her just as her form solidified.

"Late again?" she purred wickedly.

"What's it to you? Why are you here anyway, shouldn't you be at work too?"

"Yeah well... Hatter doesn't worry about me much. You're his prized little toy and every minute you aren't working is money lost." she chuckled pointing straight ahead. "Watch out."

Just as she said this Mikii turned in just enough time to find herself rushing off a cliff. "You bitch!" She screamed and was falling at maddening speed to what could possibly be her death. However her decent stopped dead in its tracks. Blinking she looked around sighing in relief.

But just as quickly as it all happened she was falling again for a shorter distance before landing on a sofa. "Wha?!" she looked around to find herself on the familiar green sofa which belonged to the Hatter. Grimacing she didn't dare look up for the figure looming over her couldn't possibly be happy to see her.

Clapping her hands together in a make-shift prayer she got on her knees begging. "I'm sorry... really I am. I over slept but I swear I set my alarm... I swear!" she cried out opening one eye she looked up but regretted it instantly.

The hatter checked his watch again, the hands on it hadn't moved for as long as he could remember, being constantly stuck on the vertically on the 12, yet the thing provided him with perfect time. "She's late. She knows she's supposed to be here by now and she's nearly an hour late. I can't believe it? CAN YOU?!" He yelled out turning and pointing an accusing finger at the plush couch behind him. "I bet you can. This is your fault again... I'm going to have to deduct her pay even though it's all your fault!" The couch didn't say anything, but that was pretty much par for the course.

He fished around in his pocket, pulling out a spyglass that was much too large to have fit within. He pointed it directly at the wall behind him, looking through it. With a twist of the tube the thing came into focus and the hatter found himself looking at a magnified version of the wallpaper. "Bloody thing..." he growled, turning another accusing stare at the couch as he hit the thing against his leg before putting it to his eye again. He laughed aloud as he saw Mikii go tumbling off a cliff. "Fine... this is your fault you deal with it.." He said to the couch as he turned away. Finally he sighed, snapping his fingers, causing Mikii to land roughly on the couch.

She began whining and begging immediately but he wasn't having any of it. She opened his eyes just as he brought his heavy wooden cane smashing in a downward arch, causing her to wince. But the blow was not aimed at her and the cane smashed hard against the couch's arm. "I've had enough of you! You made your last mistake!" For the next two minutes he smashed at the couch with his cane, yelling ridiculous obscenities at it before stopping, breathing heavily. "Oh, and Mikii, I'm docking your pay for being late again..."

Mikii blinked a few times before opening her eyes completely to note the Hatter was wailing away on the couch. Well that was something you didn't see everyday. Or maybe not in this instant.

Poor couch, it didn't deserve such a beating on her account but thankfully the thing wasn't even alive. The Hatter just had a twisted personality that caused him to lash out at anything, inanimate or not.

Though at the mention of her pay being deducted yet again, Mikii could only sigh. Her bunny ears flopping forlornly on the side of her face. "Please Mr. Hatter is there anyway I can make it up to you? I really need the money this month." she pouted still sitting at the base of the couch.

She watched as he wailed on the thing one last time before giving her a stern look. "I really need the money. I'll work overtime... I can even bake you those cookies you like so much. Anything please just don't deduct my pay this time."

The hatter stood in front of Mikii tapping his foot impatiently as she continued to speak, though he still threw angry glances at the couch every once in a while. Same old song and dance. Oh no don't deduct my pay, she would whine and whine. The hatter had heard the tune before, from all his ladies. But Mikii always thought the rules didn't apply to her. She was his best earner.. at least before she took up with the couch... and it was probably the one thing that kept her in his employee.

His ears did perk up when she mentioned doing anything to keep from losing her pay. Anything? His eyes lit up evilly as he looked the girl up and down, licking his lips. "Hmmm maybe we can work out a deal Mikii..." He said as he reached down, unbuckling his belt and unzipping his trousers, letting them fall to his ankles. He stepped towards her, his manhood pressing against his undergarments as he stepped up to her, grabbing her by the back of the head and pulling her to her feet. He pressed himself right against her and whispered softly into her ear. "Take those pants....." He glanced towards them nervously. "And get them away from me! They're trying to killlllllll me!"

Mikii glanced up a high blush on her cheeks at the Hatter's current actions. Was this really necessary? Then again this was the House of Pleasures and what was in the rules against pleasuring the owner? Sighing she watched the Hatter as he stepped from his pants. Coming up to her he pulled her by the hair to stand her on her feet.

She waited for what he would do next and almost choked herself on his next request. Looking at the pants then at him she couldn't help it an damn near fall back on the couch in a fit of laughter. This guy was out of his mind, everyone knew that but sometimes Mikii wondered if he were seriously capable of running such a sucessful place.

Even so she did what he asked knowing he'd probably take his aggressions out on the couch and for the love of the queen she didn't know if she could handle that again. Retrieving his pants she hurried along to the laundry room where she discarded them in the pantry.

Sneaking a peek back in the room where the couch and the Hatter were staring each other down... or more like the Hatter staring the couch down she stiffled a giggle. Sliding from behind the doorway she entered the room once more. Taking a seat elegantly on the couch she stretched out deciding that the worst of the Hatter's antics had past. Turning serene eyes upon him she pouted once more, in all honesty she needed that money. "I haven't gotten an answer yet, Mr. Hatter. What do I have to do to keep from getting deducted of my pay?" This might go on for hours before he finally came to some sense of normalcy enough to actually make a deal. She didn't mind but taking a look at her watch she didn't have much time to waste her 11 o'clock was due in a while.

The hatter watched with pleasure as Mikii jumped up, rushing his traitorous garment of clothing out of his sight. Maybe now he could relax. Without those damn pants trying to steal his life force from him he could focus on more important things. People often thought as Mikii was right now, wondering how a man as clearly off his rocker as the hatter could run one of the more successful ventures in Wonderland. What most people tended to not realize is that the hatter's madness wasn't a weakness, it was a strength. He could be stubborn as a mule, digging his heels in to get his way, using his madness as a subtle tool.

He turned to stare at Mikii when she returned, staring at his watch again. "You're late... wait... yes definitely. What were we talking about?" He frowned slightly. "Right your pay. I'm going to have to dock it. What? No no no... I don't think I can let you get around it... it would send a bad message to the other employees. Yes yes that's quite right." He looked at her stretched out on the couch. She was quite a sight it was true, there was a reason that she was his best earner. "Ok ok ok..." She hadn't said anything the whole time he'd been talking, but he continued on as if she'd been arguing with him. "Maybe... if you're willing to do some overtime work tonight. The King of Hearts is having a little party tonight... and if you're there I could see my way towards not deducting you for your misadventures! Now hurry hurry hurry, you're late for a very important date!" He nearly fell over from laughing so hard when he said that.

"King of Hearts?" she questioned but didn't get any further than that before being shooed out of the room. "I'm going, I'm going...geez." she grumbled. At least he was reconsidering her pay which was fine by her. If the King needed someone to play with then she wouldn't disappoint.

Giggling happily she hurried to her room to prepare for her first guest of the day. She wondered who it would be. Perhaps the Knave of Hearts would finally get out from under the Queen's thumb and pay her a visit. He'd only came a few other times when the Queen came to shut the place down. That was hilarious a day as ever... Hatter had the woman against the wall within minutes both literally and metaphorically speaking.

She was so flustered and uncertain of what to do that she retreated almost instantly. The House was to remain open until another day. As she entered her room she stripped of her traveling cloths and put on a cute ruffle and lace petticoat and bustier. Curling her hair in little ringlets she donned some pearl jewelry, a few tear drops on the base of her bunny ears, a necklace and a bracelet. Slipping on sheer stockings she put on her clear pumps and stood in front of the full length mirror to make sure she looked the part. With bunny ears and tail she couldn't be missed.

"You know that could have been a serious fall... might want to watch where you go next time." The pur was easily placed as Mikii turned to find Cheshire had returned. The other woman was dressed in an all black ensemble that contrasted Mikii's white. "Look at that, good verses evil." Chuckling she slipped through the doors literally, her intangible form slithering along as she made her way down the hall.

Mikii followed suit not wanting to be late yet again. The Duchess was making last minute preperations for the Tea Party which was a tradition in the House of Pleasures. Everyone would attend the party and then the rest of the festivities would open up afterwards. Entering the room, The Duchess was fussing over something throwing a priceless tea cup at the bothersome twins Dweedledee and Dweedledum... those two were good for nothing but at the very least they were useful eye candy. The queen had even been known to partake of their pleasures.

"Madame do you need help setting up?" Mikii asked, gathering a broom. Letting the thing go it quickly went to work sweeping up the glass from the teacup as the dustpan poored the glass in the trashbin. The trash was happy to have a meal and burped its thanks in response.

Mikii chuckled and hurried to help finish preperations. "You were late again." The Duchess more than stated. "You know Hatter isn't very happy with your preformance these last few weeks. You are later on the constant and then beg and plead for your deductions not to be taken. If you simply get here on time all would be fine."

Mikii blushed and looked down. "Yes I know. I'm trying really hard honest. Its justs been hectic lately. Catipillar is so strict about rent these days. I don't think I like living there to begin with... he's such a money hog."

"Well that's his business. He has to make a living too just like you and I. As well as Mr. Hatter. Try not to be late next time." she chuckled. "Now then hurry up our guests arrive..." and sure enough the gates opened to show all kinds of guests from all over Dreamland. Mikii went to great them at the door escorting them to their places at the table.

Hatter was standing by watching the events, to which Mikii waived him over. He would undoubtedly start the party off with a toast... although odd but it was tradition after all.

The Hatter did so enjoy these gatherings. He smiled as he looked across the room at all the gathered celebrities of Wonderland, remembering how it wasn't too long ago he was holding these tea parties with societies rejects, out in the woods. Now he ran a high class house of pleasure and people like the king begged for a chance to sample his wares. He laughed at that, looking around to make sure everyone was here, and that the couch hadn't tried to sneak in when no one was looking. He'd ordered the couch fired, but he never knew what that thing might try next.

He walked around, making small nonsensical chat with anyone he ran across, making sure his ladies were performing their duties to the utmost perfection desired. He saw the Chesire Cat dancing seductively with one of the King's Jacks, using her seductive feline traits at great lengths to work the young man into a lustful frenzy. The hatter motioned her over and whispered in her ear, telling her to try and get the man to pay for the special treatment, telling her to quote him a price much higher than normal. He looked a fool. He also told her to make sure to tell him if she saw that damned couch wandering about, letting her know that he was pretty sure the lamp was in on it as well. She responded with a sly smile at the first part and an exasperated sigh at the second as she turned, flicking her tail in his face as she turned to resume seducing the young man. Meanwhile Dweedledee and dum were already competing over one of the King's guards, a man who may not have been terribly interested in their attentions, but by morning would be singing a different tune, the hatter thought with a smile. Business was looking good.

He saw his business partner the Duchess talking to Mikii and was about to go speak with her when someone caught his name. He turned, annoyed that someone was distracting him from business. "Ah yes, you are right, it is indeed toast time!" He said, though the man who had grabbed his attention had mentioned nothing. He cleared his throat loudly, getting everyone's attention as he raised his cup. "To the grandest of all places, the splendidest of all company! To the...." He gasped as he looked at his watch. OH NO IT WAS TIME! "SWITCH SEATS!!!" He screamed loudly causing everyone to jump up in confusion. "Quickly! RUN RUN RUN!" He said as he dashed around the room, looking for a good seat to take.

Mikii sighed as she was quickly pushed about everyone in an uproar over finding a different seat. She managed to duck out of the way as the Dweedle twins raced about one of them stopping momentarily to admire her costume. "Nice digs."

She slapped at him but he ducked out the way bouncing around the room until he found a seat in the Duchess' lap. "Mind if I sit here?"

She glared at him jumping out of her seat. "Certainly not!" He was dumbed unceremoniously to the ground. He noted an empty seat and at that same time so did Mikii. Anyone found without a seat would be dealt with by the Hatter. No telling what the punishment was this time around.

Mikii growled and hurried to the seat jumping over the Jack of Diamonds a strange foot stool dog-pet and sliding under the table which held the tea and refreshments. She popped up on the other side as a small white rabbit and used her little feet to push her forward. The Dweedle twin was not pleased as he dove for her snagging her by the scruff of her neck. "Hah! I will claim this seat." He cried in triump.

Mikii used her bunny teeth to bite his hand and get loose. She transformed back and quickly took her seat kicking the other in his back side as he howled in pain over being bitten. "You're out!" she called pointing to him as everyone had found their seats. This was what was known as Musical Chairs, a strange game that took place during the Tea Party. Although odd it was fun and Mikii loved to participate.

"Calm down calm down. ENOUGH!!!" He screamed though everyone had long ceased their horsing around. "I trust everyone has found a new seat? Yes? Good, now to finish this is a... wait a second. Someone's not seated?! THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS!!!" His face turned bright red with anger as he screamed at the dweedle twin, which one he had no idea. "You have to be seated! This is time for tea and tea can't be tea if you're standing!! THAT DOES IT!" He stalked up to the dweedle twin, seeing the fear in the young man's eyes at the hatters rage. "Since you think the rules don't apply to you I'm taking your pay away and you get to spend the rest of the day with the most loathsome of creatures! THE COUCH!!" He pointed to the exit, making it clear dweedle best leave.

After the boy had sulked out he turned back to the crowd, most of them looking anywhere but at him though they had long learned to abide his madness. "Anyhow.." he adjusted the large hat he wore on his head. "To the King!" He said by way of finishing his toast before tossing his glass against the wall as hard as possible. Everyone stood still not sure what to do as the hatter stared at the shattered tea cup. "Enjoy the party!" He laughed, falling out of his seat as he rolled on the floor cracking up.

And so the party began...

Well into the events, Mikii took a break from the festivities, heading out into the yard where she could get some fresh air. Everyone was laughing and playing, giggling and there were moans here and there. No doubt Cheshire going about her business as usual.

She still had an appointment with the king but he was busy playing some games with Hatter for the moment so she didn't dare interrupt them. Looking up at the stars she wondered about this place. The world she lived in, it only served her with mild content but now she was eager to explore more. What was out there beyond the forest? What would greet her if she went exploring?

Perhaps she would ask the Hatter for some time off and go on a long awaited vacation. That would definately be fun. By then she could feel hands slither up her arms and only wondered who they were. Perhaps the king come to fetch his evening treat or a patron who had found her out here alone and wanted some momentary company.

The hatter and the king engaged in a game of chess, the king becoming increasingly frustrated at the hatter's misunderstanding of the game, believing they were playing a variation of checkers. "Old Westminster rules?" The hatter asked as he double jumped his knight over the king's bishop and rook. The king growled angrily, glancing around for something else to draw his attention and give him a chance to slip away from this game. The hatter meanwhile was focused intently on the board, plotting his next eighteen moves in advance. Move number fifteen would likely see the board overturned, but it was a risk he had to take to win...

"Ah, they are bringing out the banquet!" The king said pleased as a cart wheeled in of its own accord laden with many delicacies of wonderland. "Perhaps we can finish this game another time my good bean." The king said, relieved to have an excuse to skip away. The hatter kept staring at the board for a good minute after his majesty had risen, finally slamming his cane down on top of it, sending the pieces flying everywhere. "TRIUMPH!" He yelled to no one in particular.

One of the guards came over to tell him the King was prepared for his main entertainment and the hatter nodded in understanding, looking around for Mikii. He could not find her, though his eyes lit up as he saw the Chesire Cat in the corner with the young Jack, grinding up against him topless, the youngling's eyes wide with desire. "Good show..." He said chuckling manically. He finally spotted Mikii out in the garden, being an introvert. No no no, that wasn't right. He walked up behind her, she seemed lost in thought as he place his hands on her arms, turning her towards him. "You're too be working, not daydreaming, though the day is long gone, night dreaming? No no you're not asleep... dusk dreaming? Too busy sounding..." He shook his head slightly. "The king is ready for you dear." He said simply.
