I have an issue with this topic and it's most popular stories. Firstly, I have no real life incest desires. This kid goes from getting his laundry washed and dinner cooked to being some dominant? No life experience, no having dealt with the reality of life as an adult but you're in love for the rest of your life? The stories that start like that get poor reviews from me these days. That won't make a difference because it's already a 4.7 but thats a 2 at best for me. Sorry for the rant but it is ruining the topic for me and I'm having to dig and dig to find a story about this that involves an established adult man that isn't already lusting and coming in her panties when he gets home from whatever generic school practice he came from. Please show me an author that writes about two actual adults that find something they didn't know they could become to each other. Doesn't have to be a lifelong marriage, but a near believable one on one encounter between adults with an age gap. Agreed. Basically if you start going down one rabbit hole, you end up in smutville. If you go down the other rabbit hole, you end up with the never gonna happen scenario. And then there's the third option, like in my VY series, where the male is late 20's/mid 30's and ends up in a situation they didn't plan or, but end up engaging in some level of intimate activity.

This may not be the place for this but your recent story wasn't one of my favorites. It was a good premise but the pushing of the son was a little too coercive and gaslighting and borderline assault-ish the way he kept pushing and pushing while she provided sound reasons as to why they shouldn't. The sudden change of heart felt like a rush to the end. And honestly 20 isn't much different than that 18-19.

Is it detrimental to popularity to age them up 5 to 10 years. Have them come back into her life in a sone way that leads them to this path. I'm older than half the women in the stories I speak of. Any older and the woman is grandma. Those can be good too. But is it just not popular to do 25 and 45? 29 and 48? Even 23 and 42? Just a believable level of maturity, age wise, for me, can really improve the belief in how these things would be approached.

Thank you. I'm not saying either rabbit hole is wrong or right. I can get through and enjoy a lot of the stories I speak of. But I just think that age is a big part of the setting the scene in these stories. Young bro/sis/cousin sure. But is it not popular to have them mid 20s/mid 40s? Early 30s/ Early 50s, Late 40s? The vast majority start as "I'm a high school senior..." "Or back from my first semester" "Just turned 18..." ya know? And I just roll my eyes and hope it's done well.

My opinion on this is based on my own feelings of what is the realistic(although yes, this is fantasy) age for these things to happen. You get to 25 and a lot of guys have a serious girlfriend, could even be married, and most-although maybe not these days-are on their own, or with room mates and no longer living with Mom.

So for me there is a limit to the age this is still feasible. I also use 20 to avoid high school references and "teen" to dodge under age confusion.

As for the sudden change of heart in Carla from her realistic denials to giving in was she did catch herself thinking about it once it happened, she was holding back based on the fact its wrong, and also as the mother, one of them had to cling to trying to avoid making it worse. The other reason for her giving in is...well as much as I try to create some realistic scenarios or at least conflict, this is an erotic category, and at some point what I call "porn absurdity" has to kick in or we never get the fix.

Right, I know it doesn't seem like a huge difference, but for me it sort of is. At least a 22, normally you're done with undergrad and part of a working world. And at 25 it's equally as viable to find your long time gf/fiance isn't who you thought they were. You are different people with different long term goals. Or for storys sake there was infidelity and now it's over. To me that's not much different than divorcee, or in some cases widow. And can be as believable as the however a 20 or 30 year marriage ends.

I get that this is fantasy/porn/absurdity. But even a day later would have made a difference for me as a reader. He wasn't gonna turn her down tomorrow. Mid fight to give in, just felt abrupt.
