Christophe and I were talking on another thread and came up with the idea for this one-

Which M*A*S*H character are you most like, and why?

Characters we could remember:

Radar
Col. Henry Blake
Col. Potter
Col. Flagg
BJ
Trapper John
Hawkeye
Maj Burns
Winchester
Hotlips
Klinger
Sydney Freedman- the shrink
Father mulcahey
Sparky - the wheeling and dealing supply guy who could get anything
Ritzo- the motor pool operator

<--------------junior lit member.....The Cosby Show I can remember....Mash is before my time...

i thought about this.....i would have to say i cant actually pic one any person so my personality would best match up with COl Henry Blake:D

Col. Potter for me. I often joke in my real life job that I have my own Radar. Several of them. If I took time to actually read everything that people put in front of me to sign, I'd never get out of my office! I trust those who work for me to do their jobs well, and I sign lots of things on their word. It has never come back to bite me yet.

I also tend to be the one people come to with their problems, especially problems with other bosses. I like being asked for advice, and I help whenever I can.

Do ya mean Sparky? The phone/dispatch operater in Seoul (sp?) that Radar then later Klinger would always call.

thats it sparky! shit now i remember:D

Another one of those more forgotten characters is Ritzo. The Cajun motorpool operater in the later episodes.

I thought about this for a whle and realized how few Blacks there were on MASH. I think the only time I ever saw them was when enlisted men came in on a stretcher.

I'll say the shrink because he had a weird sense of humor. Didn't he go insane in the end?

i think hawkeye flipped out on the last episode but he was fairly sane at the end of the show

I remember that, but I could swear the shrink came up short at some point as well. Anyone know for sure?

THat was Hawkeye that went insane, Sydney, stayed odd from begining to end. As for me, I would be more from the Trapper John ilk (shamelessly ommited for some odd reason!!)

i think it was an earlier episode where he was just visiting the 4077th....he was depressed, and everyone was playing jokes on each other

There was a black bunkmate in the Swamp in the earlier episodes.

That was 'Spearchucker' Jones and I think he was only in a handful of the first few episodes. They'd never get away with a name like that nowadays.

TY sleeping, you read my mind as I was typing, how dare they! LOL

No problem. I didn't catch the omission at first to tell ya the truth. Just looked like someone was missing.

Maxwell Q. Klinger, quirky, outrageous, loved to be unique, different, inventive and make people laugh.
He had a kind heart too, a great smile and he always made me laugh with his silly costumes or ideas to get a section 8 Psycho Discharge.

I remind myself of him. Silly but caring, good for a laugh,
well meaning and a big kid at heart. :)

I love M*A*S*H.

Yup, Sparky it is! I'll adjust the original list. Not to mention all the other names I had to add, too. Thanks!

Since I've posted quite a bit on this thread already  I may as well say which character fits me. I'm probaly more along the lines of Major Charles Emerson Winchester III.

I would say one of the patients..........Just another face in the crowd :)

But you forgot the second half of the question- why?
