Thanks to a recent BuzzFeed article which claims the con artist instructed his former attorney Michael Cohen to lie to a Congressional committee, Lying Rudy Giuliani was out and about on Sunday trying desperately to come up with new and exciting excuses about his previous comments relating to how long the con artist had been in discussion to create one of his failed towers in Moscow.
Initially, way back when, Giuliani said discussions for the tower stopped long before the con artist thought about running for office. That story then changed to discussions occurring right up to the campaign, followed by the goalposts being moved to just after the start of the campaign.
While all this was going on, more news came out about these discussions which showed the con artist was willing to bribe his Russian handler with a $20 million penthouse in the failing tower.
Now Giuliani has once again revised his numerous past statements, saying, "The Trump Tower Moscow discussions were “going on from the day I announced to the day I won,” Mr. Giuliani quoted Mr. Trump as saying during an interview with The New York Times."
Lying Rudy also said, contrary to Cohen's recent statements, the con artist never directed Cohen to lie to the Congressional committee. Sure, they may have talked about what to say, but it's not unusual for someone being investigated to talk to a witness about their upcoming testimony. It's a common thing. Happens all the time. It happened when Rudy was a prosecutor. He saw it as no big deal.

The new timetable means that Mr. Trump was seeking a deal at the time he was calling for an end to economic sanctions against Russia imposed by the Obama administration. He was seeking a deal when he gave interviews questioning the legitimacy of NATO, a favorite talking point of President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia. And he was seeking a deal when, in July 2016, he called on Russia to release hacked Democratic emails that Mr. Putin’s government was rumored at the time to have stolen.
