LW Story Set in 70s

Looking for a LW story set in the, I think, early 70s. Young married couple, at a house party, wife gets stoned and sleeps with another partygoer. Guy was raised in a house where his mother cheated on his father more or less continually, and let everyone believe that the son is the lover's child but really isn't.

A gentleperson and a scholar! Thanks very much. Though having re-read it, it's nowhere near as strongly written as a remember, which is a shame considering how much work was put into finding it, especially by @NoTalentHack. Perhaps, he ought to try his hand at an adaptation.
