Hi there...welcome to SRP at Lit. Did you get a chance to read Hecate's guide in the first message thread? It answers a lot of the questions that first time users often have about posting to this sort of a forum.
That being said, let me give you the short form. Just post. Decide what you'd like to play and then make up a character and/or a situation and people will either play or they won't. And maybe they will but not right away. Just hang out...join some of the other open threads...get yourself known to people who like to write the sort of threads you want to get involved with.
