Have no idea where I want to take to take this, least not as of yet. But I do know that I don't want a 2-3 line per post thread. I know sometimes it is hard, just the 2 liner thing well... kinda sux. hehe... Anyway, I have no demands on the male chara, nor any demands on how rough this may or may not get. It can be falling in love, or some master/slave deal. I do perfer one on one, for it is easier. If it turns into something open then so be it... Other than that, first come first served, open to any ideas, from demons, vampires. Or just simple human/human stuff. ~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There she was taking her nightly walks, cape flowing in the wind as she walked. Walking to her nightly spot through the park and down many trails towards the water side. These trails were always pitch black, yet she seemed to know them well and without falter moves down them. Her slender form seemed to float as she moved, long blood lust hair sends waves into the wind. Just by looking at her, one would think she was something more, yet, those that know her, know she is just as simple as the next person. Only she used magic, knew how to move in the nights darkness, knew if someone was there watching her, or if she was in danger....
Something was different about this night, the winds seemed to be restless, more so than normal. Also the girl was able to feel it, unable to quite place the feeling, but she knew there was something out there this night. Following her from within the shadows. Deep green eyes held her innocence as she looked slowly around, trying to catch anything that was out of place while not making it obvious that she was looking. Finding nothing right away she pressed on. Felt no fear, the night watches and protects her in so many ways, also held a dagger within her sleeve just incase something ever was to happen. Still, only a smile crossed her lips when she approached the waters edge..
This night was one of her favorite nights, it was warm with the wind blowing through her hair, freeing all her thoughts. Moon was full with its rays looking down onto her, as if it was worshiping her beauty. Waves crashed against the rocks, blocking out almost all sounds from around her, waves caused a trance like sound. A beautiful sound that she relished every night. Cept this night, something disrupted the oceans music, footsteps from behind seemed to have followed her. Held her spot as if there was nothing there, pretending to not notice. Closing her eyes to hear where the foot steps were coming from and going to, they were only getting closer. Suddenly they stopped right behind her, from here she was able to hear the breathing. The air gave off a scent that told her it was a male, so far he posed no threat.
Still, she held her ground as if there was nothing there but her and the water, waiting for his move or words.
"Excuse me, is this trail blocked, is that why you stopped?" The mans voice sounded foriegn, but familiar. The man look closly at the woman in front of him, unsure of what she would do. Would she break and run? Spin around and confront him? He was prepared for either action and waited for her to react.
His words flooded her mind for a moment, seemingly so familiar yet she couldn't quite place from where. Tilted her head slightly to the sounds of his voice;
"I have stopped for many reasons.... Question is, why have you stopped?"
Her own voice was steady, carried out into the wind as if an angel was speaking to him. All the while Keeping her back towards him for now, fingers aching to pull the dagger on him. Still, he has yet to pose a reason for that just yet.
"What made you follow me?"
Her questions were direct and to the point, it had been clear that he had been following her for sometime. She did have to admitt his scent made her feel some what at ease, it was a light musky smell that the wind carried all around her, though that would not stop her from attacking if she needed to.
Mysterious Stranger
What made you follow me?"
"A good question, deserving of an answer", he replied. "Won't you even turn around and talk to me face to face? I assure you, I mean you no harm, just... well, perhaps that should be discussed later. In more appropriate settings". He continued, "To answer your question, I am following you because I want to have a talk with you. Nothing more, yet, and nothing less".
"What would be a more appropriate setting than here? There is none..."
Her reply was smooth and calm, hesitated at first before turning around, beautiful emerald eyes were studying the man before her. Looking over him before meeting his eyes, there was something so familiar about, still, she could not place him. She has known a lot of people, never really stayed with any particular group.
"What is it do you wish to talk about? And also, have we met somewhere? You seem so familiar, yet, I can not seem to place you."
Sliding her fingers through her hair, brushing it back out of her face while watching his every movement. He claims to not bring her harm, though she has never trusted people so easily. Was tempted to start walking again, instead, held her ground for a bit longer.
Mysterious Stranger
"You are as lovely as ever and I'm sure, as deadly. Yes, this place is fine, anywhere would be fine as long as we are together.", he said. His voice calm, yet eager, relaxed, but full of built-up energy.
"I see you have made this place your own. Not many come here and they are usually sorry they did", the tall, thin stranger continued. "You have this habit of evening the scales, settling scores, that is how I finally found you. So many years of searching, so many places I've been looking for you. I was even told that you were gone, that you were lost forever, but now I can glady put that rumor to rest", he paused, waiting for her reply.
Raised an eyebrow towards him, mostly because he sounded so eager for something. Probably the same as all guys, and like all other guys she wasn't easy to get.
"I do not play games, those that get my way for whatever reason reget it in some fashion or another. This place is my safe haven, I come here for that reason alone.... No-one comes here, I do not trust easily."
She was still a bit defensive with some of her words, yet some how remained to keep herself calm. Part of what he had spoke of brought some fear into, not enough to run or do something threatening.
"And just what do you mean by you have been searching for me? I have been all over the place, known many people, as far as I've known, not one has even wanted to search me out.... Why have you?"
He was much taller than her, she barely came up to his collar bone. His own hair was shoulder length and making it's own waves in the wind, there was something about this man that brought back some hint of memory. Perhaps a dream, or long ago in her younger years.
"Who are you?"
Was all she could barely say, as if asking herself more than him. Trying to place him.
Mysterious Stranger
"And just what do you mean by you have been searching for me? I have been all over the place, known many people, as far as I've known, not one has even wanted to search me out.... Why have you?"
"Who are you?"
The man smiled at the girls questions. "I could tell you who I am, but either you wouldn't believe me or your mind could not accept it. The question you should ask yourself is 'Who am I?'", he said matter-of-factly. "And don't think I'm just playing a game with you. Finding out who you Really are is very important. You said you've been many places, do you feel like you've been wandering for a long time?", he asked.
The girl noticed something odd about the man in front of her. Every now and then his figure seemed to ripple like a hologram...
This man was indeed strange, he seemed real enough. His scent definatly was real... Though, she was almost afraid to touch him.
"Who I am... doesn't matter anymore, it has been so long and I've been all around the world.. I have forgotten..."
She hushed herself not wishing to speak about herself with this man. Someone that seems to know her more than her own self. Slightly remembering a past long ago, a past that has been long forgotten and tossed to the side.
"Yes, I have been wondering around for a very long time. And it would not shock me in the least to know who you are. If you only knew the things I believe in, and have seen...."
Again, she hushed as if something came to mind. Suddenly relizing that she has been walking these lands for quite sometime, years have passed and yet she doesn't age. Here this man stands in front of her with the unknown.
"Its been so long since anyone has asked me who I really was... That part of me is gone, has been for years. I don't even remember having a past anymore, each day is just another stretched day."
She spoke softly as she lowered head a moment, then turning once again to look out to the moon and the ocean.
"Who I am, is of no importance any longer. Hasn't been for years."
Mysterious Stranger
The stranger just shook his head. "You need to find out who you are, take my hand", the stranger replied extending his right hand. "Come, we will go to an all-night diner I know of, you will be less troubled after we eat", the stranger declared. "You are missed and I am the way for you to go home, but like any journey, it must be done step-by-step", the stranger said as if he were talking to a child.
"I have dreamt of you, please don't disappoint me", the man pleaded, only partially joking. He then smiled to show his sincerity.
"This is my home, it is the place I feel safe."
Still turned and her words were soft, slight hint of sadness was within her voice. Corner of her eye she saw his hand extended, so long has been since she felt fear, there seemed to be something about him that brought it.
Turned around to face him once again,
"If I do not like this place you claim to be my home, I will leave. Or die trying."
She knew she wasn't hungry, only trouble was this guy and her own curiosity as to what he knew about her. Even more so, his dream of her. Taking his hand cautiously, surprisingly it felt real enough, wondering why he would flicker at times.
"May I at least have your name? I'm sure you know my true name, for now, you can call me Crystal. That is the name I go by anymore."
Wasn't sure as to why she was going with this man cept to ease her own curiosity.
"Thank you for trusting me Crystal, you can call me Daniel", he said as she took his hand. When Crystal took Daniel's hand she discovered that she could see him plainly now.
Daniel wore a white cloak over a white robe. The cloak was secured by an emerald clasp. He appears as a thin young man of about 6' 4", he has white hair and his eyes appear to be limitless black pits, sometimes with a hint of green showing from the depths.
His demeanor is still friendly, even thouch his change in appearance brought an involuntary gasp from Crystal. Daniel led Crystal back to the path towards the all night coffee shop. "We are not going to travel to your home just as yet", Daniel explained, "I must prepare you before we journey. Now we are going to get something to eat and drink".
She paused a moment as he became more real, changing into what seemed like another person from the one she had been talking to.
"I didn't say I trusted you just yet, only that you haven't given me a solid reason to walk off."
Crystal didn't mention that her curiosity has beaten her once again, only that he didn't give her a reason. A bit hesitant at first, mostly because he had changed so drastically when she touched him. It seemed like forever in silence before she spoke, even after telling he spoke of taking her home.
"Your a wizard of some kind are you not? I don't remember the last time I've seen one that looks the way you do...."
The words trailed off as she lowered her head, trying to remember basically another life of which this Daniel spoke of. Part of her wanted to remember, then that is also the part that has been long forgotten.
"What did you mean by *I have been missed*? I leave people with no loose ends just so they would not miss me.."
Crystal kept her lowered even after they walked intot he coffee shop, mostly because she was still unsure of this and also she didn't want people to see the confusion that layed in her eyes at this moment.
Daniel
Daniel smiled at the suggestion that he was a wizard. "No", replied Daniel, "I am no more a wizard than you are. And you ARE missed, by me for one". Daniel returned Crystal's unbelieving look with one of sincerity.
"As a matter of fact", Daniel continued as he held open the door to the coffee shop, "We used to be very close, an item, you might say. And we worked well together too. As for people, I didn't say that they missed you, in reality the opposite is true. People reget your visits".
Daniel pulled out Crystal's chair, and then sat opposite her. As they waited for the waitress, Crystal felt that there was something amiss. Then she saw it, all of the people in the diner had their eyes closed, as if they were asleep, yet went on with what they were doing. A patron ate some toast, the waitress refilled a coffee cup and the cook rang a bell, indicating that an order was ready.
"You... Me?!?"
For once she stuttered as she spoke, remembers a love from long, ever so long ago. As with everything else, she let herself forget him, in lost hopes of ever seeing him again. Crystal did notice that everyone had their eyes closed, yet, moving around as if they were open. This, some how strangly did not surprise her, it was how he spoke of them two being together.
"I am sorry, I've let myself forget everything that has happened. Including.... You? I... I never thought that I would..."
He can tell that her heart had sank just now, something was hinted that there was peice of what he knew still remained, she just couldn't find it.
"I'm sorry... I don't wish to offend you in anyway.. Just been so long.."
Daniel
Daniel took her two hands in his. "Don't ever be sorry", he chided her compassoinately, "the past is the past, we are together now".
"We have much to talk about, some good, some bad, but it must be revealed", Daniel went on. "This is perhaps not the best place for it. Do you still want breakfast or shall we go straight to my hotel?", he asked.
Daniel stopped himself from going further than holding her hands to comfort her. He wanted to take her into his arms, but resisted. Everything in it's own time.
Crystal looked up into his eyes, back down to their entwined fingers. Felt something strong within the touch, feelings of long ago. Some reason her breathing picked up a little as she gazed into his eyes, tear broke free from her eyes. She was able to feel the history between them, but it was so distant it was hard for her to understand why she felt this way.
"No, I'm not hungry... I... I don't know what I wish for, but it is to not stay here."
Her words seemed a bit distant while her gaze went back down to their locked hands. Crystals' fingers caressed the length of his, was able to feel her own heart pound against her chest as if it was trying to escape her.
"I just can't remember anything.... Now you come to me with all this.. past time things... I..."
Was unable to finish her own sentence, the words were there but would not come out. She couldn't take her gaze off their hands, the way his felt in her was so right. Meant something something deeper and she knew it, though she didn't know deep things were with this man.
Daniel
Daniel stood and lifted Crystal to her feet, supporting her as they left the diner, his hands never leaving hers. "I'd forgotten just how lovely you are... Crystal", he said, the name Crystal added at the end as if an afterthought. He looked at his charge, noticing as if for the first time, her dirty, discheveled appearance. "The first thing we will do is to get you into a nice, hot bath. A bath will help you to relax and think. Think of what you want to ask me, I will be forthcoming", Daniel offered. They arrived at his hotel and went to his suite. Crystal was not surprised to see the staff of the hotel sleep-walking.
Never once looked up, her eyes couldn't escape their entwined fingers even as they walked. She only looked up long enough to see the what the hotel looked like, mainly as if to remember this place. Then her gaze, as if on it's own, went back to the hands that held hers. The grip she had on his tighten a little at the mention of her taking a bath. As of right now she barely knew this man, and now he wants her take a bath? She didn't know if she should be offended, or if it really sounded nice. It has been while since she enjoyed a soothing bath. Most the time they were rushed showers.
"Yes, I suppose that does sound... pleasing"
Words were slightly faltered at the thought, she had been wandering around the past day or two, hasn't had much of a chance to really get cleaned up. Then again, she wasn't expecting this either...
The longer they held hands, she would get a tiny flicker of a past time vision, still, they were not clear.
"You are not of this world.. are you?"
The question was more of an statement than anything else, slightly hopeing for a different answer, at the same time, knowing somehow what his answer would be.
"If people regret my visits, then why did you come back for me? I understand if there was something between you and I, but it has been so long ago.... Whatever we had... Will never be the same.... Specially if I can't..."
Fell silent, wishing she could remember the things they had shared... Remember him period. Hell, she doesn't even remember the last time she felt a mans touch, most the time she was alone, not allowing anyone else to touch her. Yet, here she is, hand in hand with someone she has no recognition of.
"How do I even know what you speak of is true?"
Deep inside she knew it was, or she wouldn't have allowed things to go this far. Wanting to pull away, that one part of her, couldn't pull away. Not from him..
Danial
Daniel's eyes never left Crystal as they walked hand in hand to his hotel. He felt her grip tighten at the mention of a bath, he hoped she realized he would not take advantage of her, especially in her state of mind.
He ushered her into his elaborate suite. Motioning to a bedroom door, he said, " You will find everything you need in there and the adjoining bath. You should have no problem running your bath, but I am here in case you need assistance."
He suddenly stopped her and answered her questions, "No, I'm not of this world, neither are you. Your second question is also easy to answer. The 'people' don't want you back, your 'kind' (and mine) want you to return. It is they who have missed you, although 'missing someone or something' is not common to us."
"As to you and I, it would be a shame if your memories of us don't return, but that has no affect on my task, only on me", he finished sadly. "Now, to the bath, I'll order a late supper and some new clothes for you, he said, mostly to her back, as he reached for the phone.
Crystal did not speak anymore of it. For all this alone was to much, whats worse is, she belived him. Trusted him, though she would not show it, granted being here with him now was proof enough. It was just to much when their hands seprated, for a moment she almost felt empty and alone without his touch. Granted it was a simple touch, there was to much of a deep feeling behind it.
Wanting to ask more, wishing to know who and where she belonged. For the moment she couldn't believe that there wasn't the slightest hint of memories. One little spark, anything to make it all come back, or at least most of it.
"If only I could..."
She whispered softly while walking off to the bathroom and started the bath water. As the tub began to fill, she removed her clothes slowly while looking the mirror. Now suddenly feeling lost to herself as she held gaze with her own reflection. Now standing there fully undressed, she hadn't even reallized that the door was still open as if her own reflection held her in trance for a few moments.
Daniel
Daniel got off the phone after ordering a cold plate of meats and cheeses. The dress and ladies cape would be delivered in the morning as soon as the shops opened. She could chose her own footwear, Daniel wasn't that good.
Daniel heard the water filling the bath, but it was much louder than it should have been. He walked down the hallway to the open door. She stood there naked, as the tub filled, motionless in front of the mirror.
*Had her memory returned?*, Daniel wondered, *Was this an invitation?*. Daniel was overcome by the moment. He gently put his hand on the woman's shoulder and whispered, "Nem?"
Nem...Nem.. Nemesis..... Is that my name? ...
A sharp breath escaped her, as if she had forgotten to breath. His touch caused her to jump slightly, still remained in her place. In the mirror she caught his gaze, something inside her stirred. Wasn't sure what to do, run, cry, kiss him.
"Say my name..."
She whispered softly while the tears made their tracks down her cheeks. His name was on the tip of her tongue but would not come out, she wanted to be sure he was who she thought he was.
Closed her eyes a moment before turning to face him. Totally forgetting about the bath as it reaches the rim of the tub. Her tear stained face looked up to his eyes;
"Please... Say my name.. The one that you know me as.."
Soft spoken words barely escaping her lips, the next moment she was pressed against him, her face pressed into his chest soft sounds of her cries. Slowly things were coming back, some she understood, most she did not.
Morpheus
He took her into his arms as he whispered her name like a magical incantation, "Nemesis, Nemesis, Nemesis. Oh, I've wanted to say that name for so long."
"And I am your one-time lost love, Morpheus" He held her tight as the bath water splashed around their feet, an event as meaningless as their holding each other was meaningful.
"I know it's a shock, but we have plenty of time", Morpheus said. "You will be ready and know all before we go back. He lifted her tear-stained face and kissed her lips, lips that had been gone for so long...
"Morpheus? ..... please forgive me... I"
Before she could speak another word, his lips touched hers. There was that spark, everything flooded her. Heart racing witin her her chest, breath quickened with each passing second. Soon her arms were wrapped around him, holding him tightly and bringing the kiss into a deeper level.
"Forgive me..."
Breathless whispers between the kisses, each kiss lasting longer than the last. Fresh tears streamed down her cheeks freely, adding a salty taste into the kiss.
"I'm so sorry.... I'm sorry.."
Each word she spoke lead to more kissing, and an embrace that was unwilling to let go for any reason.
