Dumpingaton hasn't been around for a while, nor have a few others. One who posted recently was extra looney, belfry full of bats whacko. Posts were almost incomprehensible walls of nonsense. Can't find any trace of that one. Purged? Returned as TommyKnucklehead?

No idea what happened to Dumpington, but I'm pretty sure none of the new crazies are him. For one thing, no dragging Margaret Sanger into everything or deflecting every election-related thread to gloat about 1984.

That's a good name, I wish I had used it.

Talking shop here is a waste of time. Too many little minds who prefer to write "blah, blah, blah" or offset cogent arguments with jokes, or assume because they said something it is automatically true...

Too many angry lefties who insult first. Too man lefties who cover their ears and eyes, but not their mouths, too many who answer with a non sequitur, too many who will point out superficial grammar mistakes (to get out of conversations) despite having terrible grammar themselves, too much whining, too many people displaying their insecurities in their posts...too much bullshit.

This isn't a forum, it's a virtual soapbox for sidewalk preachers.

I wasn't going to be here long, but then someone insulted me...now they're gone and I'm just waiting for the results of the election so I can see how people react to their side winning and the other side losing.

If I'm still here after that, then I'm as hopeless as most of the people here.

There is no winning or converting minds here, no tally, no score, no one is coming to get anyone. But most forums were just a place to say your minds and thoughts and those who already feel and think like you do, will stop and listen and share what they heard with others.

This is the same.

I enjoy the discourse and even if someone has a different POV than I do, it's nice to at least read what they have to say as long as it is interesting and has some framework that you can look at and say, "Well, I've not lived their life but I can understand why they might feel like that."

It's the ones whose posts all start to sound the same that I tune out. Marx commie this, and Whaddaboutheremails that, and Bernie Progressive Love is the best course the other thing.

You don't have to post every time someone says something moronic or offensive to your worldview, but it's worth looking at even if its just for a few seconds of your life, then shake your head, mutter "what a douche," and move on.
