Trump's civil suit deposition on Monday could come back to haunt him: former federal prosecutor

According to a former federal prosecutor, answers that Donald Trump gives in a civil lawsuit deposition on Monday will likely be closely scrutinized by multiple prosecutors investigating the ex-president and could come back to haunt him in court cases yet to be filed.

"Well, the question at the heart of this case is whether Donald Trump directed his security to assault the protesters who have brought this lawsuit," Farhadian replied before noting, "And, you know, it's interesting because it's a low-profile case from the presidential campaign, but it does represent the first time that Donald Trump is going to be asked a question like that under oath and I think that a world of lawyers, prosecutors, investigators, are going to be listening for that answer."

What Lumpy under oath! Does he even know what that means?

There was a point during his admin where two of his lawyers did a rehearsal for having him testify, the kind where one plays the examining attorney.

Their conclusion was that Trump must never be allowed to testify under oath, because he was psychologically incapable of telling the truth.

If he shows up (I haven't seen that he's done so yet), it establishes that he recognizes that he has to show up for depositions. There are so many potentially damning depositions waiting for him to show up.

Apparently he went and ended up ranting about something or other afterwards .. it all a plot to get him or something.

All he'll ever do is use his fifth amendment protection if he ever shows up for a deposition at all and there isn't shit anyone can do about that. If it worked for Mark Furman it will work for the disgraced former tenant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave

Trump has sued the Jan 6 commission..lmao

Four-hour deposition was given. At some point it will be made public. It's been established that he knows he's supposed to show up when deposed--that saying no to that isn't some sort of royal privilege he got by being president once. Lots more depositions to come.
