Lulu?

Is anyone here familiar with Lulu.com? I'd like to know if you've had any good luck with it.

A friend of mine published something there, I can put you in touch if you like, then you can get some personal experience direct from the horses mouth as it were

I have decided to publish my next volume of fictional history and a childrens book with Lulu.com. Spend a few hours and navigate the site; there are also user forums where you can access faq's, talk with officials from Lulu and other users, I have been convinced it is worthwhile.

But with all self publishing venues, you are going to have to promote and sell your work...they don't do it for you.

edited to add, have you looked at Publish American or iUniverse? a few more options...

I've had a goosey at them. They appear to be a bit cheaper than CafePress, but I have the distinct advantage of knowing that CafePress is very good quality through the anthology project.

So I'd be very interested to hear any personal recommendations as well.
