I just "discovered" this artist today. I bought one of his pictures as a poster at Uni (I also got a Zippy one and one of a bolt of lightning hitting a tree, but that's off topic. I'll threadjack myself later) and... wow.

Anyone else come across his wonderful work? Cloudy, would I be right in thinking you've used some of his stuff as your AV before?

PS: My AV is the one I bought. She's very me, in an idealistic sense.

He's one of my favourites, and especially the drawing you picked for AV. Too bad you cropped it just above the ass. That is the best part of it! :D

With the ass its too big. Don't tell my folks (seeing as how I have to live with them now *shudder*), but thats why I bought it ;)

Yep, I've used quite a bit of his things, including the one you're using now. ;)

MINE!

*Stamps foot and pouts*

They're lovely aren't they?

I love his work and have a rather large collection of it.... sadly none of them are real, just copies....

I have a hundred or so scans. Very versatile artist. The works in his book, "Prohibited" are some of my favorites.

I was gonna reply that I don't really dig his style, but then I clicked on the link and realized that I was thinking about Boris Vallejo.

Royo I like.

I go for Sorayama over Royo, too, cloudy, but i like Royo and envy his technique all the same.

I love Royo

I've been a fan forever and my bf bought me "The Caress" it hangs above our bed.

Royo is pretty good, I've had a couple of his pictures saved to my comp for a whiles, didn't know who he was though until I started discussing the pictures with a friend just two nights ago.

I don't mind Borris, does some interesting work.

Luis Royo, Sorayama and Boris Vallejo are excellent artists. If you like Vallejo you might also enjoy another russian artist called Anry. If you like anthropomorphological stuff (I doubt that spelled right, but what I mean is mythical beasts and animals that look human or the other way around) then you might want to check out Kemono Inukai. Some of the work on his site is censored, though.

We have been using this AV for 3 years now, and I have had one of his books for about 10 years and it is getting fairly dog earred from the amount of use it gets. Also have saved just about all his work on the PC, even preliminary sketches. Have to say we are both fans of his art and mind.
