Listening to the news on the radio this afternoon as we did some shopping my wife and I heard about a motorcycle accident the police were working.
At first I cringed when I heard about a motorcycle crash with two people involved. Then I sat there smiling at how fate had intervened.
A Motor Officer had been sitting next to a main road with his radar gun when he heard a bike winding out. The bike came around a slight curve and he clocked the bike at well over 100 MPH. As the bike came closer the officer saw the bike wobble as the rider lost control. According to the officer the rider tried to regain control as the bike drifted towards the side of the road and clipped the curb catapulting the bike and riders in a pinwheel into a canal.
Both the rider and his passenger came out of the accident with minor bruises. The bike was destroyed.
I know the road where this happened and we did stop by there on our way home. These kids were extremely lucky.
