One of my students brought it in to show me. I'm more of a traditional fan, but it is interesting. Someone had way too much time on their hands. :D

There was a good documentary on UK TV over Christmas about the making of Love.

It was a project of George Harrison and Cirque Soleil (?), unfortunately he died before the thing got off the ground. His wife, Yoko, Paul and Ringo finally agreed for the project to go ahead. George Martin, and his son, reset/orchestrated/embelished the songs working with the four, and Cirque Soleil at each stage of the process.

Some the added stuff is from original unpublished tape sessions. I understand Cirque Soleil will be doing a world tour performance, the album is the sound track for the show, it's a bit contrived in places (the show) from the excepts screened - but, I think the re-working of the music is mostly great. It is astonishing how fresh some of the music sounds.

One quibble, unless it's my CD, it is a poor recording, with uneven gaps between songs.

Saw the programme and thought it was a bit weird - let the Beatles alone I say!

I think I am the only person in the world who doesn't really like the Beatles.

The Beatle's will always have a special place in my music collection.

But this tampering with perfection is not cool.

It's heresy I tell you.

Plus a blatant grab for a few more bucks.

I sure won't buy it.

Peace.

I suppose you liked the Dave Clark 5.

Or Herman's Hermits.

Billy J. Kramer maybe?

Peace.
