Love

yes

I believe whole heartedly that it most certainly does exist.

Often, people get into a great deal of trouble when they confuse lust for love. This is very common among repressed young men.

Please tell me why you'd even pose that question.
Are you gilted?
Or jaded?
Fed up?
Frustrated?
Finding literotica to be over rated?

Or, is it that you've simply never felt true love?

It is a constant force of energy, but it isnt obvious like gravity, there are a lot more risks

i guess it exists..but let me add a little to the drama do u all think that u can truly love someone more than once?? guess the question kinda contradicts the definition of true love as true love should last forever yet...

love lust

Actually I've always believed that young men are the ones who have the least trouble confusing love and lust.
Mostly because they fall in lust easily but, quite often, dont believe that there is such a thing as love untill it strikes them.

It does - honestly!!!

It does exist Genni - I've been there and done that - and when you do find it, hold on tight with all your might, relish it, wallow in it, never let a day go by without expressing it to your love or giving back in return - I hope you find it some day - don't give up hope.

Regards

I would have to say im heart broken and jaded.

:rose:

I did in college... someone I opened myself to like no one else... we grew apart... then got together again 15 years later... which is a looooooooooong complicated, ugly story that even Jackie Collins would go 'Ok, there is no fucking way.'

I didn't think I would ever feel that way again... but I did... it didn't last...

It's NOT easy... it will hurt when/if it ends because you've opened yourself sooooo much to this person, connected so well, that if it ends ou do feel like you've had part of you ripped away...

BUT... it can happen... I don't think it's a matter of searching, like you're looking for the perfect mellon at the store. chuckle. Well, at least that's what it almost turns in to. 'I'll find the perfect person for me!' There are over 6 billion fucking people on this planet, choose. chuckle.

Finding 'true love' more then anything else is risk; risk being hurt, disappointed, blah, blah, blah...

... because when you DO find it... fuck, you feel like NOTHING is wrong... what helped me get over things is remembering this; as much as it hurts, as hard as it is to find, do you REALLY want to never feel that way again?

Odds are the answer is NO... you do want to feel that way again... so you try. It's not easy, unfortunately. :( But you try... you look, you hope...

Friend of mine said the most important word in the world is 'love'. Not quite. Just as important is 'hope'.

it exists

True Love does exist. Unfortunately it can disappear. That person you loved with all your heart can be gone..but it doesnt mean the love that was there wasnt real, or true. True love is the most amazing feeling in the world..unfortunately, the void it leaves when its gone, is also the most painful feeling. It can take a while to get over it, if you ever really can.
I hope you can get over your pain, and learn to love again. "Better to have loved and lost, than never loved at all", is a truism. The benefits far out weigh the pain. Without love, life can be pretty dreary. Sex is always great and incredible...But its MINDBOGGLING when you are with that 'true love'.
Hopefully, Im not being too romantic, or too naive, here.
Good luck to you, dont give up. Lost love? Yes, been there, done that, it hurts BUT it WILL get better for you, honest.

the essence of romatic love is that wonderful beginning, which after sadness and impossiblility may become the rule. (Anita Brodener)

and from the baser side..when it comes to lust, nothing is impossible.

It dose exist though it is simply just a chemical reaction in your brain.

Yeah but so is everything else...just cause its chemical doesn't mean it isn't wonderful.

it is worth it...nothing like it in the world...to cut yourself off from it would be denying yourself....take a chance....the pain may not come and if it does, when you get over it you will still be able to feel love again....the more you have and give the more you will get in return and true love does not need to be returned.

Sorry you're heartbroken Genni, but sadly it happens to us all, often over and over again. What does 'true love' mean anyway? It requires the person that you love to tolerate all your failings, to love you unconditionally. In the end, everyone has only so much love to give, and when things go wrong they fail you. But perhaps they also fail because you're not willing to give enough to them either. Human beings are imperfect, so love, although sometimes close to 'true', is usually imperfect as well. Only you can decide whether it's worth the pain or not. I have to say that I don't think it's really worth it either!
