Salazar Izothorp was finally back at his home on the space colony LJ-3X6. The colony had everything in it from housing to more adult things though Salazar didn't have much time on his hands to experience any of the more adult things because of his job of moving intergalactic cargo from one planet to another.


He was somewhat excited yet nervous about being home this time because his friends had set up a blind date for him that evening and though he didn't mind dating his job didn't really leave much time for a loved on though there existed technology that could put them in the same bed virtually. He knew that most women couldn't stand to be away from their lovers for very long and that fact has him a bit nervous about this date. He continued to get himself ready making sure the alien charm he had was well presented including the same charm that earth dogs have over some humans. He hoped that his friends had gave the woman they set him up with a picture of him so that she wouldn't think it was some kind of joke or a mean prank on her.

When the time comes he makes his way to the restaurant asking for the table that his friends reserved for them. He was wearing a black button up shirt so it would hide any loose hair that may be on it that's from him and pair of dark blue pants. The only thing he didn't like about dressing up was the fact he had to confine his tail and the people behind him would probably mind it if his tail hit them. He didn't know what the what the woman looked like so he couldn't tell which woman coming into the restaurant was his date for this evening.

Hope wasn't the kind of person who had a lot of friends, but when she did get a friend she was close to them. Her best friend had married and she was the maid of honor, was a beautiful ceremony Made her want to get married but there was something about guys she was not good with, she was shy. Someone like her you would think she would have her shit together but that was something that only one person knew about. Her married friend knew she was difficult when it came to guys, mostly because she was afraid of getting hurt. But it did not matter to her friend, she was not to far gone for help. But hope just let it happen and she got a new dress for the blind date, she never did this. She hated to dress up she was not very girly but she did dress up some of the time. She went dress shopping, and she actually had a lot of fun looking for the perfect dress.

She picked out a beautiful red dress And loved she got a pair of black high heels and hoped she would look good, the sound of her feet pounding on the ground, humming a bit. She looked at his picture again and found it rather interesting why him. But he seemed like a good guy, she finally came up to him and couldn't help but smile at him, she knew this was him.

Salazar could see a woman in a lovely red dress and his heart skipped a beat for a couple of seconds because he hoped that this was the woman that his friend had set him up with but it was hard to tell. As she got closer he got more excited and if his tail was out he would have been wagging it like crazy. When she reached his table he instantly hoped up and said "hello Hope my name is Salazar and I guess you are my date for this evening." He walked around andd pulled out her chair "please sit down." He said as he waited to push her chair in for her.

Hope smiled at him and nodded confirming she was there for him, when he slipped the chair out for her she was grateful. "Thank you Salazar" She said happily and sat down, it was really nice this place he picked thought she had never been on a date before, and it was easy to see that she was nervous and figured that sooner or later she would find someone and who knew perhaps she would find it in him, since he was an interesting person.

Salazar could tell that Hope was nervous about this date so he said "no need to be nervous." He didn't know if he was actually helping or making everything worse but he felt he needed to say something. "Why don't you tell me a little about yourself Hope?" He asks trying to keep up a conversation with her so that this date wouldn't become akward

she smiled at him "Love beaches, animals and seafood, I am a army brat my father is high up in the food chain, not me I don't like hurting people, pointing a gun, shooting someone that is something I never want to do so Ive stayed away from that all my life, what about you?" She asked a smile on her face as she drank some water.

Salazar took a deep breath before answering "well I love to be outdoors more than indoors. As you probably guessed I am not a human I'm a Caninight. I grew up in a family where the males were pilots flying spacecraft." After he was done he gave her a gentle smile not wanting to scare her with his teeth. "If I may ask what do you do for a living if you do work?" He asked hoping that he hadn't offended her.

She smiled at him "I'm a song writer, been doing it for a couple years now. And you got a sweet smile by the way" She said with a soft look on her face. "I have been called a miracle off and on since I was born, to the point where my mom almost called me Miracle which I would have had to have her killed if that was the case" She chuckled making a joke.

"Well I fly freight from galaxy to galaxy and just to let you know depending on my assignment I could be away for long periods of time." Salazar hate to tell Hope this but if he didn't he figured that she wouldn't take it well when it actually happened. "You look good in your outfit Miracle I mean Hope." He said giving her a smile teasing her a bit though he ment his compliment.

She smiled and blushed to him "My dad use to do what you did so id be use to you being gone for a long time" She said softly, sipping her drink looking at him. "What do you like to do when your not working? I read a bit to much" She chuckled a little and sighed a bit, hoping she didn't sound like an idiot.

"That depends if I don't have much time between shipments I just rest up but if there is a couple of weeks or more I try to spend as much time as I can at the wilderness decks so that I can walk around with just a pair of shorts on and that's it. My race likes to wear as little clothing as possible when we can because the extra layers get a little warm after awhile." Salazar said hoping that he didn't scare her with what he said.

she smiled at him and sighed "You will have to forgive me not good with men never had been, I either talk a mile a minute or end up babbling like an idiot, so I am hoping to not be the bubbling idiot" She chuckled.

"It's. alright Hope I don't mind at all." Salazar said letting his hand brush against her hand. "You know if you're having a good time it doesn't have to after we finish up here we could go to a movie or something." He said hoping that his date was having a good time.

Hope smiled and nodded to him "Id like that" She was really having a good time and thought to ask all kinds of questions but didn't know what to ask. "How close are you to your parents?" She asked him hoping it wasn't a bad topic to go on.

"Yeah I am close with my parents though I don't get to see them as often as I would like to." Salazar said to hope. "Are you close to your parents?" He asked the woman across from him wondering how close she was with her parents.l

She drank some of her drink and looked at him "yes and no" she said simply staring at her drink then looked at him. "My birth parents died in a car accident when I was ten days old, I was told I was very lucky and someone or something was watching out for me, my adoptive parents couldn't have children so they adopted me, I grew up calling those like you and like them furies was never taught the proper name hopefully you don't take affiance to that term. I was close to my adoptive parents, sadly they are gone now to"

"Don't worry there is more of us than some people even know about so the fact that you don't know the species names isn't bad." Salazar said giving her a full smile. "How many others like me have you encountered?" He asked wondering besides her adoptive parents how many had hoped encountered.

She smiled "There was one other, her name was Lily unfortunately she was in a school where everyone but her was human. They picked and bulled her something terrible, until I stepped in and beat the shit out of the ones hurting her. I got suspended from school for two weeks, but it was worth it to me, to protect her, three bullies,I broke one arm,one leg and a jaw"

Salazar just smiled at Hope before he said "well I guess you will protect someone even though it goes against you none violent stance." He thought about asking his next question hard because it would put her on the spot. "Do you find any of the other furies that are famous attractive?" He didn't know if she knew any famous furies but there was a few of them that either modeled or acted.

She smiled at him "I have seen a few never found them very attractive, but has nothing to do with them not being human" She said simply she sipped her drink and added "you I find attractive someone I know nothing about not so much, if that makes sense?"

Salazar looked at Hope and if she could see him blush she would. "Yes I know what you mean." He replied back as he tried not let what she said about her finding him attractive get to him.

She smiled at him 'I think humans are boring frankly and I can say that because I am one" She chuckled and began to eat her meal she ordered. "I know it took a lot of time for Maddie to convence me to go on this date, I have a fear of being hurt which is why I never dated that and I was to busy with school, but I find myself grateful she arranged this meet"

Salazar smiled as Hope talked to him and ate what he had ordered. "I am glad that she did as well. He said when she had finished talking to him. "What would you like to do next?" He asked wondering if she was actually interested in continuing their dat or if she had things to do afterwards.

She smiled and had a wonderful dinner, looking at him she sighed a bit "a movie would be cool it's still early you know' She said happily once the meal was paid for and headed out. "Since you mentioned a movie a little while ago"

"Is there any particular movie that you have in mind?" Salazar asked wondering what she wanted to watch. "What do you feel like doing to pass the time until you feel itself the right time to go to the movies? He asked as they started to walk.
