New York city was where bad things happened, no one could really be safe in a place like that. And right now it wasn't best to put your guard down. Not even for a moment, everyone knew human nature was becoming more violent. And very few people were pure any more. Kids killing there parents, husbands hitting their wives. Every day something bad happened and it was terrible. But for one person things were even more difficult for.
Being a nurse was fun, especially when you were the youngest nurse. A woman who had a big heart but also had a big brain. Which wasn't a bad thing, not many people knew her name. But she was very beautiful, she had stormy colored eyes and pitch black hair. Her name? Was Raven Conner. She got teased all the time about her name, but her parents were fans of Edgar Allen Poe. And both liked birds so it seemed to stick.
She had met a cop who's name was Ty Alloy, he was different but she saw the beauty of his heart and soul. He seemed trouble a bit but she would do what she could for the man. But the day that her friend fell, was the day that she would never forget. She had been called to help an officer down. it was a code over the small radio she carried. She wasn't to sure what was going on, but by the time she got there.
Life started to slow down, seeing Ty down blood every where. He had been covered in wounds and she collapsed to her knees. Ty meant the world to her, and she tried everything to save his life. But no matter what she did he just got worse, until he took one last deep breath. She cradled his body in her arms as she screamed. Acting as if she was his lover, but she was something else. She was his best friend.
The funeral was beautiful but lonely, she was in the back as his family and friends in the front. She had never met them so she did not feel it right to talk to him, but she was just so tired of being alone. It scared her and right now she just wanted to and now things were much more different, she had no one now and his death destroyed her just about. She was living a dark life, never hanging out with people or anything.
Kicking a rock on the street as she was thinking of him, walking down the road that not many people came around to. How she missed her friend, but she did not know what lurked within the shadows. Did not know exactly what happened to her friend Ty. All she knew was she missed him and that she felt for him. Feelings that were not the feelings of a good friend or even a family member, it was something more. It was.
Love.
