Wingnuts used to bed every night, secure in the feeling they were in the majority, and if it ever came to real contest, they would win by sheer numbers.

The problem with this idea is wingnuts can't reproduce. Being a wingnut almost guarantees having children who move away from the home political camp, or grow up so cynical from the hypocrisy, they become politically apathetic.

The majority of Americans have come to recognize our wingnuts as people for whom conservatism means "the government must keep me happy with cheap gasoline, but don't ask me to pay for it."

It's simply not a sustainable strategy and every obit page reduces their numbers a little bit, every day.

They don't see it as anything more than an entitlement. They bought that SUV with their own money. It's the government's responsibility to keep it affordable.

It's the same sort of mindless reasoning that wingnuts use to demand border security, while hiring illegal workers because they work cheap and never complain.
