LOL, a take on the cartoon series but dedicated to our treasured PYL/pyl's and the wonderful things they do which remind us why we adore them so. My first one is......... a Master who decided I needed a boost so went out in the cold night to get an unused bathtub from his mother's, and despite our bathroom not being done (or started for that matter) yet, placed it in there so I could have my first bubblebath since we moved into this renovation exercise of a house.

That is so like something Master did for me a few months ago - while I was asleep on the couch He ran me a lovely bath with bubbles, lit candles, made me a drink and then gently woke me and led me to the bathroom, where I had a lovely long soak. That was the first time anyone had done that for me, I felt so special :rose:

Being able to walk in the door after a tragic day and having them know not to do the cuddly-lovey stuff just then cause they know you too well.

Also going through your day thinking, I must tell him this, is a sign of love for me.

Love is that feeling you get, even though your 1200 miles apart, when you just know he is thinking about you. It is that warm feeling and just as your about to push send you get mail from him, just a lil note to say 'Hey I was just thinking of you' and you answer 'I know,me too"

We are both lucky women.:) ..and obviously share a love of a bubble bath to soothe stress or just be pampered.

Knowing what we need when we most need it is a blessing.

Oh this brings back so many memories.....unfortunately we will soon be back to distance contact, though hopefully for only a small period of time.

Love is...

.. the way he always knows when I'm at the end of my rope, and takes me out to a movie I've really wanted to see, or a favorite restaurant, so I can unwind and de-stress.

He takes me to the most girly movies without complaint, and I love that about him. ;)

 Love is...when he listens to what I have to let out even when it makes little sense because he not only knows it eases the pain and anguish, but because he wants to know/hear what is going on inside me.

When you wake from a bad dream, to feel His arms around you, holding you tight - and Him saying "It's all right, you're safe" and you know it's true :rose:

When you wake in the night, to see Him sitting there watching you (He has insomnia) and knowing He has been watching you sleep for hours - and see His lips mouth "I love you"

...taking both the ends when there's only four slices of bread left.

I have actually had both of those experiences and agree wholeheartedly. I always feel so special and safe and loved then. I felt all warm just reading your explanation of that feeling because it brought back memories.

Though not a real life definition like the beautiful descriptions posted earlier of bubble baths and waking from dreams, and the willingness to eat the bread ends (I want you to know that I loved that post, Marquis), I have always felt a quote from the novel "Corelli's Mandolin" (the Nicholas Cage movie based on the book is "Captain Corelli's Mandolin") came closest to describing how I feel about love:

"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are.

Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."

Love is...

.. laughing with people, both friends and lovers. Nothing is more attractive to me than a good sense of humor, and nothing is less attractive than the inability to laugh at yourself.

I tried to explain this earlier and clicked on "back" rather than "submit."

Thanks, sunfox.

Laughter is the highlight of our love.

You're most welcome, MissT, and I am with you. That shared sense of humor is what keeps things going once that first rush of new love is over.

love is.....

...coming up behind me to hold me in your arms when i'm studying and kiss the back of my neck

...going to the opera with me even though you hate it

...sharing a blanket on the sofa when we both are reading

...knowing that exact place that makes me shiver

...letting me go when i need to be alone and not feel rejected

 Love is never having to be alone again, never doubting the reality of 'as long as we both shall live' and beyond.
