"You can't be serious Dad, you know very well we can't stand the sight of each other, half an hour with her and I would have my hands around her throat, but marriage, NO, no fucking way."

Beaumont D'Arcy stormed out of his father's office on the thirtieth floor of their latest acquisition, a tower block in the heart of Chicago. The woman he had been referring to was the only daughter of his father's business partner and to say the two youngsters didn't get on would be the understatement of the decade. They hated each other with a vengeance rarely seen between a man and a woman. It had started out as a date and was going well until his date threw her cocktail over the waiter for failing to put an olive in her cocktail, which was most unlike her, she was normally quiet and just did as she was told which was the way Beaumont liked it, to be in charge and demand what he wanted, Beaumont had called her an ill-mannered spoilt rich bitch and left her to pay the bill for the meal and drinks and find her own way home. From that moment on it had been open war between them and not helped by the fact that they saw each other practically every day as they were both learning the business with their fathers. The practicalities of them marrying were clear, if anything happened to either of the elders their share of the company would pass to their child and not be taken by the surviving partner, it would work both ways so Claremont D'Arcy and his business partner had agreed between them to make it happen.

Elisa St'clare was floored.
Her father had just proposed a marriage between herself and Beaumont.
She couldn't stand the arrogant, horrible, controlling sob and there was no way on this earth she was marrying him.

"No. Not a chance Daddy! He's a vile human being and I want nothing to do with him."

Elisa was pacing up and down her fathers office, the carpet wearing underneath her feet.

"Why would you even consider this Daddy? You know we don't get along."

"Elisa, its the best senario Claremont and I could come up with. A marriage of convenience so to say. Please consider it at the very least."

Elisa sighed, shaking her red hair out of her face and looked into her fathers eyes. He was totally serious. Fuck. How the hell was she going to get out of this mess?

Beaumont was fuming as he left his father's office. What the fuck was his father thinking of? The whole idea of him marrying Elisa St'clare was ludicrous, she was spoilt and arrogant and expected everyone to fawn over her, except in bed, where they had spent most of their time when they were dating. In bed, she was pliable and compliant to everything he wanted from her and put her heart and soul into pleasing him and boy, could she fuck, her body was magnificent, with curves that would pose problems for a formula 1 driver. The problem he had with her was out of bed, in public she thought of herself as someone special, a princess. For some unfathomable reason, it was only when they were alone that he could control her. Beaumont hated that, he wanted to be in control of her the whole time.

He was so busy being angry that he failed to see her as he approached the elevator and found himself alone in the elevator with her on the two and a half minute journey to the ground floor. From the look on her face, he guessed that her father had just given her the news and obviously she was as unhappy about it as he was.

"I guess you've heard then, how the fuck is this gonna work? We hate each other, the only thing we have in common is in bed, fucking each other. Mebbe we can work something out if you can climb down off your goddam high horse and do as you're told."

Her glare told him he should have saved his breath.

It was then that a daring idea came to him, an idea that that would hopefully satisfy both of them.

Elisa growled under her breath when Beaumont spoke.

Gah she despised him.

She glared at him and when he suggested she do as she was told, A small laugh escaped her mouth. Beaumont's eyes narrowed, how dare she defy him!

She'd do more than defy him if her father got his own way. She'd make damn well sure this marriage was to her liking

Before they parted Beaumont tried to reason with her, he pointed out that he didn't hate her personally it was more her attitude to other people, treating them as though they were something she had stepped in.

"Look, Elisa, I don't wanna change you into a goody-goody girl that wouldn't be you at all, I want.............. hell, I don't know what I want but the fact remains that we're engaged, we should get together and work something out, why don't you come over tonight about eight and we'll talk, you can stay the night if you like."

He watched as she marched off, or rather swayed off each foot in front of the other causing her perfect round ass to sway under the business skirt that clung tightly to her ass. His thoughts on more than business as he wrestled with the idea in his mind, to him it seemed the perfect solution but Elisa was the stumbling block, she'd have to agree.
