"Today, a member of his own cabinet appeared to join in with the radical Dems and the Deep State and the resistance," Dobbs told viewers. "Attorney General William Barr, who has been absent for weeks and weeks, (told) the Associated Press that the U.S. attorneys and FBI agents who have followed up on complaints of specific voter fraud across the country have produced nothing."

Dobbs noted that Barr told AP, "To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that that could have effected a different outcome in the election" — and Dobbs told viewers, "For the attorney general to make that statement, he is either a liar or a fool or both. He may be, perhaps compromised. He may be simply unprincipled. Or he may be personally distraught or ill. But in no way can he honestly stand up before the American people and say that the FBI has, with any integrity of intensity, investigated voter fraud in this country — and then say it did not amount to anything."

indeed... "show us the proof of you finding no proof!"

howabout just show the people AND COURTS the proof of voter fraud? oh, wait, you can't can you?

Back when Dobbs was on CNN, it might have even been CNN Headline News, he came off as sane. Ideological, but sane. Perhaps that was just CNN reining in the lunacy.

It was before he found the entry into the gravy train.

Between Dobbs, Sharyl Atkisson (both ex-CNN) and Maria Bartiromo (CNBC), it's interesting how many cable news people who used to come across as normal were actually insane all along.

In Dobbs's case, he's a white man in his 70s from Texas who used to do a show focused on the wonderful things being done by rich people. He probably worships Trump on a cellular level.

Re Barr, he's out of a job in 7 weeks anyway, so he's probably hoping to get fired as a means of returning to the polite, law-abiding society that by rights ought to be rejecting him and any other participant in this administration till the end of time. And it will probably work. I was around for the rehabilitation of Gordon Liddy, another actual fascist.

Sounds like Fox is getting their moneys worth.

I do not accept that there is a "deep state' as claimed by a wide number of conspiracy theories. It is an invention to try give their lies some credence.

However, I believe impeached ex president trump is doing all he can to ensure that enough loyalists to him are left in positions to the extent that he is establishing a "deep state". A "Republican deep state".

Barr won't be part of this as there will be place for him in Biden's administration.

But Biden will have a job on his hands identifying and sacking every last one of impeached ex president trumps minions that are being buried deep in the system.

There aren't going to be any politically placed Trumpers left in the Biden departments. Trump's efforts in that effort are empty. The next seven weeks with these folks are a worry--but after that, though.

.
I agree that Barr is compromised; and I think Biden's new AG and Director of the FBI should do a thorough investigation of Barr's activities before and during his tenure as AG.

You can bet that Barr is now in a mode of working on covering his own ass more than in covering Trump's.

You can bet on it. He would have been thinking that he had another 4 years to cover his arse.
Funny how things turn out.

Barr, Trump, & co. are probably keeping the shredders and document shredders going night and day since Biden won trying to get rid of anything incriminating.

Yes, but the career federal workers are tucking copies away for use later. One of the great stupidities of the Trump era was not currying favor with those actually keeping the system working. Trump's stupidity includes, for instance, openly screwing the military while holding military intervention as Plan B in staying in power. It also includes assuming that the political position holders in agencies fully control what those agencies do. And here in the last months, because of how Trump has treated federal workers, they aren't going to be doing much of anything he wants done--on the contrary. They are keeping copies of whatever his people want destroyed.

There is a lawsuit to prevent just that very thing. Not that the Orange Klan thinks much of lawsuits that have merit.

I don't think it's stupidity. It's very calculated. Trump's the next logical step of what the right has always wanted to do: setup the government to fail and then point and say "see it doesn't work after we've taken the tires off, flooded the engine, and disconnected the transmission!"

Sadly, unless someone physically removes the evidence the Trump crew is attempting to destroy it will be destroyed or disappeared.

Keep in mind, he ain't out yet and he's installing loyalists in places he might call on to keep him in, by whatever means necessary.

No. Trump's ill treatment of people working for him is stupid--because he didn't have to do it and he'd be far better off if he hadn't. It's Trump's natural stupidity showing through.

A prime case in point is Michael Cohen. It would have taken very little effort on Trump's part to keep Cohen in "I'd die for him" mode. It was sheer stupidity to not make the effort to keep him loyal.
