Lots of viewers, no submitters

Judging by the 'most views', people seem to be enjoying my stories, but no submissions... please of please help me with these stories, or give me some verbal feedback on what you are liking or not liking.

The thing about the "views" is that it only counts the number of visitors to your frontpage (the one that lists the creator, editor, writers, has the field to fill in first name and last name) that press the "start story" button. It says nothing of what they do once they've gotten past that point. My chyoo always experiences a jump in visitors whenever I update, because then my chyoo is temporarily in the Fresh Stories box, where people can see it on the homepage (I imagine it's the same for everyone). This tells me that the number of views isn't all that reliable for telling you how popular your tale really is.

But I know your distress. I'll give feedback when I get a chance.

Wait a minute. Juiblex, these stories look pretty healthy to me. What the heck are you complaining about?

Good point, I guess..

but all of those submissions occurred back when I originally created the stories (2002 or 2003). Since the rebirth of CHYOO, I haven't recieved much feedback or submissions.... well, I guess I am comparing to what I remember back in 02/03, where it seemed like feedback and new threads came regularly... I'm getting nothing now. :)

Should I just expect none? Was it a fluke in the early days? :)

I'm trying with My Sister-in-laws. I have the same trouble with mine. Though things are better now than they were, they are still not like the golden age.

Yes, I meant no disrespect for the people who contributed years ago, nor for the few contributers I recieved over the last few months...

It just seems like there is a lot less thread additions than I was used to, thats all I meant.

I've tried adding threads to other stories, in the hopes of all 'I'll add to yours if you add to mine' type of thing. :)

I tried to "one for one" to people, but I found I had a very hard time with it. I didn't get the inspiration, and I didn't like the results.

I'll try to start doing it, but don't despair if I don't get to someone's stories for awhile.
