Did anyone ever play the short lived Lord of the Rings RPG a few years back? It was during the movie craze and the company that published the books stopped backing their product (for the most part.) If anyone has the books or would like to get an RP started we can set it up on this thread. I have experience leading campaigns so I think we can get a good LOTR game started. Even if you haven't played or never even heard of it, if you would be interested post here.

This is the game I am talking about...... http://www.decipher.com/lordoftherings/rpg/

i have heard about ti but i never actually played it.

what exactly would we be doing in this RP?

Once we got enough members we would decide. I have always favored 4th age games so it doesn't encroach on anything Tolkien ever wrote.

the 4th age is rather entertaining isnt it

It's cool because you can make whatever you want to happen take place. I ran a campaign about the 5 original Istari returning to train mortal wizards. That way a little magic was put back into middle earth.

Yeah, I had the core book for that game. It basically uses Wizards of the COast's d20 system, right?

I also have Iron Crown Enterprise's Middle Earth Roleplaying, which I prefer. Then again, I am SO a roleplaying nerd.... :nana:
