I actually had/have a similar situation. I work with a lost love, from years gone by, someone I have known for 13 years now (im 21 btw). She and I have been closer than best friends for years now, and every so often the possibility comes up again, but we never seem to act on it. At this point, I am very hesitant to do anything because our friendship has grown to the point of family. I almost see her as my sister, almost. So I guess to answer your initial question, yes i have been confronted with this, but so far I have staid with the girl(s) im with at the time.

I've had the chance more then once to hook up with a lost love but there was always something that held me back. Probuably Fate telling me it just wasn't right. But I chose the guy I was with over that lost love but sometimes. Makes you wonder how it would have bene had you chose differently.

Yes ... many years ago ... I broke up with the girl I was engaged to.

We both regretted it ... but it happened due to the meddling of Both sets of our parents (hers and mine) .... they were causing problems with our engagement.

Twenty years later .... I ran into her sister at a party and short story long .. her sister helped us make contact once again.

We are both married to other people now ..

.... however, we met for lunch and immediately the years fell away. It felt like it had only been yesterday.

I kissed her goodbye at the end of the lunch and all those urges from years ago came flying back.

We started slow .... daily phone calls and e-mail messages ... but eventually we became lovers once again.

The sex is wonderful ......

Our regrets for allowing our relationship to end years ago are there ... and we hate all the sneaking around ....

.... but when we are together and I hold her in my arms ... it is wonderful.

We are both still with our currents ... but we both long to be together.

Not sure how it will all work out in the end ....... but now when we are together it is wonderful.

Yes, I have been reunited...

I was not currently in a relationship at that time, and he was.


We had a nice dinner, some mediocre sex, and I realized why some loves were lost.

The connection was gone.

I pined a bit over what could have been, or might have been, (and still do now and again) but over all, I was quite satisfied with our parting of ways.

I believe in looking forward, not backward but I did, in my ealrier years, keep in touch with most of my former lovers and maintained relationships(occasionally sexual) for years. I cant imagine leaving my current marriage if any of them came knocking...but i might be tempted into a tryst.
