Jolie was walking at a furiously fast pace on the sidewalk of a nearly empty LA street around midnight. Her life had all but unraveled in the last month. Her boyfriend, no ex-boyfriend, had lovingly talked her into uprooting her life to California and she had jumped at the opportunity to start a new life with him. The first week was amazing, all love, all new experiences.

The second week, she noticed as Todd became increasingly distant and wouldn't be in their apartment when she returned home from work. She thought nothing of it. New city, new life, of course he would need some time to adjust.

Jolie kicked a stray rock in frustration, stopping to catch her breath she leaned against the brick of a building, feeling the scrape against her shoulders around her white tank top. She caught her reflection in the mirrored glass building across the street. Her shoulder length Raven hair wild with curls, her skirt was dangerously short, and you could see her black bra through her tank top. Sure she was curvy, but she was slim. Jolie thought herself to be attractive. If Todd had left her for another woman, Why?

Then today, when she had come home from work, all of this belongings were gone. He had vanished. Todd wasn't picking up the phone when she called, answering her messages, nothing. All she knew was on a post-it he had left on the refrigerator.

"I can't do this. I'm sorry Jolie, I never meant to hurt you." She mumbled it to herself through clenched teeth. What an class A jerk. Now she was stuck in a new town, with a new job she hated, living in a lonely apartment. This was not what she had in mind two weeks ago when imagining her future, at all. She bit her lip in contempt, refusing to let one single tear fall over him.

It was the feel of the wind that he loved the most

Christopher supposed he was a vain man, after all the thirty year old CEO prided himself on his looks and who he was. Every thing embraced that mentality from his short cut black hair, to his tan skin, and the muscular body he kept going. Even his car which was the latest BMW helped to contribute to the overall image he was giving.

And he didnt mind it one bit

Sure there were a lot of people who would call him vain, a narccist even, or for more vulgar people a dick but he didnt care. Here he was in California cruising being able to do any thing and ANY THING he wanted.

And he was enjoying every minute of it

But now he was on the prowl looking for some thing. A certain some one who would fit his needs. He had came to the... well the rougher part of the the beach area to see if he could find it.

And it seemed he might have

There was a girl, she was currently leaning against the wall. She was cute but i was not just that she had a young naive look about her and as a bonus seemed to be currently distressed. He turned his BMW cutting through the stop light and earning him a few honks as he slid to a stop in front of her.

"Hey there" He said rolling down the window and pushing his sunglasses up so she could see his clear blue eyes "My names Chris.... You lost or some thing? You look a little upset or some thing"

She heard tires screech against pavement and she looked up to find a shiny new BMW pull up beside her. Jolie combed her finger threw her hair nervously; this was not a nice neighborhood and she had no idea what to expect. She watched as the window rolled down to reveal a handsome, well-kept face and she gulped. What in the world was a well to do man doing in this part of the city?

She felt her eyebrows draw together as he asked her if she needed help and if she was okay. She looked around bewildered and realized she was indeed lost. She must have been so caught up in her thoughts that her feet just lead her where they wanted.

"Hi Chris," she replied, "I'm Jolie and I'm fine!" She takes another glance around, forcing herself to break eye contact, already feeling herself get lost in his deep blue eyes and confident aura. "But I do seem to be a little lost."

She takes a couple of hesitant steps towards his car, unconsciously adjusting her tank top and skirt trying to cover a little more skin.

"Ah so I was right then" Chris said keeping the friendly smirk on his face.

She was perfect lost and if he was being honest a little to trusting for her own good. Now all he had to do was offer and assure her he wasnt going to kill her then he would be good to go.

"How about some help then" He said giving her a reassuring smile "I can help you find your place if you have one or get you to a motel whatever is needed I know it can be a little freaky getting in a car with some one alone so how about I give you my cell phone that way just in case some thing happens you can call some one"

He turned looking back and then back at her "I cant stay here much longer though traffic so let me know" He said pulling out his phone the latest brand and model and waiting for her answer.

"Uhm.." She couldn't help but squeak her reply, caught off guard by his seemingly random act of kindness. She fought with herself inwardly, her mind telling her NO! Her feet reminding her that she had no idea how far she had walked, but her feet would not enjoy the walk back.

Besides, that's assuming that she could even find her way back to the apartment.

Jolie flashed Chris a quick nervous smile, glancing at the complicated looking gadget he had offered her. Well, he was giving her an out, and offering her some security. Her feet once again yelled at her, the soles of her feet sore.

"I… sure, I would love for you to take me home, Chris, thank you." Even as the words left her mouth she heard warning sirens going off in her head, and she ignored it.

She squeaked again as she heard a car honk behind them, and rushed none to gracefully to passenger side of his car and scrambled inside. She was glad it was dark out so she wouldn't have to explain the bright red blush on her face. She had just gotten into a car with a complete stranger. She was either going to die, or get home safe.

Looking over at Chris' handsome smile, breathing in the musky aroma, she figured today would be a good day to die anyway.

Just like that she was inside of his car. He breathed her in his eyes moving up and down her frame for a second before he hit the gas. They pulled out scooting through the traffic as they made their way into traffic.

"Now then" He said glancing back at her and smiling "Shall I take you home? Or did you want to go some where else? Cali is a great place to be and I bet you havent even done half of what it has to offer! Or is there some one waiting for you back at home? Some boyfriend or girl friend?" He asked driving around the corner and letting her take in the beach.

Jolie tried to keep her composure feeling very awkward sitting in Chris' fancy car, driving fast. As he asked, she pictures her dark and now practically empty apartment and sighed out a little hurt. She didn't really want to go back there. Not now and maybe ever.

"There's no one waiting for me." She answered bluntly, taking in his charming smile, and then looking down at her lap. "What do you have in mind?" She bites her lip, fiddling with the hem on her skirt.

"It depends" Chris said glacning back at her and smirking "The beach is right there.... We can go hang out there or I can get you some food! Theres this famous restaurant not to far off that makes a great sandwhich.... The skies kind of the limit" He said reaching into his jeans and pulling out a fat wad of cash.

He placed it on the dashboard leaning back to look at her as they aimlessly drove "Of course I could always.... Help you get some money in your pocket... You seem like a girl who might need some money and im feeling well lets just call it charitable today of course you would have to work for it but it wouldnt be any thing to demanding"

Jolie helplessly tried to hide her shock as she stared at the cash on the dash board. That was the most money she had seen in one place at one time. In the small town she's from that kind of cash flow is scarce. She couldn't help but think, "Who the hell is this guy?"

He said food, and her stomach growled ferociously on queue. She placed a hand over top of it embarrassed, like she was trying to shush it.

Then her mouth fell open at his proposal. "Uhm, Chris, I think you might have gotten the wrong idea of me." She looked down at her skimpy clothes, she did kind of dress like a stripper. She was still wearing her work clothes, and the less clothes the more tips. And when you're broke, what's a little skin?

She stole a glance of him out of the corner of her eye, seeing him watching her reaction. "I'm not one to pass up on an sandwich, though." Jolie replied and her stomach happily agreed.

"Are you sure I have?" Chris asked angling his car to go to the sandwhich shop "I mean thats a lot of cash sitting on that dashboard for me to take it away just because I got the wrong idea"

He eyed her up and down taking her in once more as he pretended to frown.

"How about this how about I take you to lunch my treat and you can think about what idea I may have gotten" He said placing his hand on her leg and rubbing it "you havent had a taste of good cooking in a while I can tell! And I would be more than happy to take a pretty lady out on a date" He said with a wink.

Jolie's voice was caught in her throat, and she bit her lip at the disappointed sound in his voice. How was she supposed to answer that? What did he want from her? She could feel him looking at her, his gaze feeling like little prickles on her skin and she couldn't help but shiver.

"I... food. Yes." She nodded, feeling her entire body flush red as his hand rubbed her leg. They were large, very manly hands despite his well kept appearance, and they felt good on her skin. She happened to glance up at him right as he winked, making her melt.

Jolie shifted in the seat, feeling a heat spread over her body. "Oh? A date?"

"Sure why not" Chris said laughing and shaking his head at her reaction "I mean with no one home waiting for a beautiful girl like you even an older guy like me has to take advantage right?"

He winked at her and they pulled to a stop at a nice upper class restaurant set on one of the many piers doting California. It was both a classy place and a famous one and the way one of the valets rushed towards his car made it clear that he had been here many times before.

He opened the door for her taking one of her hands and helping her out "I have a feeling your going to like this place" He told her with a wink as he gestured to the doors "serves some of the best sandwiches in the state!"

He held out his arm for her to attach her self and scooped up the large roll of money he had previously showed her. He led her up the steps letting her see the beach stretched out and the way the attendants rushed to open the door and let them in.

Jolie smiled from ear to ear at his compliment, starting to loosen up. She couldn't help it, she was melting. He was being so nice, and he barely knew her; didn't didn't have to stop and help her out. After all she had been through today, his appeal to her was growing.

Her door open snapped her from her thoughts and she noticed the fancy restaurant, she knew this by the way the valet rushed to the car like his life depended on it. She whimpered, cursing herself for not changing clothes before leaving the apartment.

Her flush came back when he took her hand and pulled her out, winking as he boasted about the food. As he walked her towards the restaurant Jolie felt like a million bucks. She felt like he was showing her off, something she was not accustomed too... it was something she could get used to. She held her chin up a little, when it was used to being down. She no longer cared about her clothing, Chris obviously didnt care.

She swallowed down her anxieties, and metaphorically let down her hair. She needed a good time.

"There we go" Chris said noting her change and smirking in pleasure "How abotu we get you a drink? You are old enough to drink right?"

Before she could answer a valet rushed up nervously glancing at Chris.

"Mr. Malone I didnt know you were-"

"It was a surprise visit then" Chris said glancing over at her before back at the valet "I was wondering was my usual table available? I know its short notice but-"

"I always leave it open for you!" The valet said happily "If you come this way"

He led them out onto the deck over looking the bay. There was indeed a premuim choice table waiting for them. It was set off into the corner tucked away from prying eyes but still with a great view.

"So drink?" He asked raising an eyebrow smirking as she took it in.

"Holy hell," she said under her breathe as she was lead to what was apparently Chris' exclusive table. She was glad she couldn't see her face as she knew she wasn't hiding her awe. She was absolutely dazzled. From the way he was being treated like a god, Jolie could tell he oozed money.

She was only twenty. Old enough to drink behind doors, purchase it if you knew where to go, but usually not in restaurants like this. She had the feeling that rule wasn't going to apply tonight.

She nodded yes to the offer of a drink,, unable to speak for a moment as she took in the beautiful view, and her classy surroundings. "Oh my goodness..." she thought out loud and looked back at Chris to smile appreciatively.

"It can be a little jarring cant it?" Chris said unable to stop himself from smirking as he cleared his throat.

"Tell the man your drink order" Chris commanded her pulling out her chair and then his own "Ill have a scotch please no ice" He told them "and then a beer"

He waited into the waiter rushed off with her drink order and his and then sat down "So what do you think so far?" He asked leaning back to study her "I am sure you didnt expect to have this happen this morning when you woke up" He said winking at her and looking out at the water.

Jolie squeaked at the waiter, "Vodka tonic, please, dry," and she sat and lady like as she could, smoothing her skirt beneath her.

She giggled and her eyes fixed on Chris' charming smirk. "No, fuck no." She cared nothing about her sailors mouth, when she was relaxed she was open... and maybe honest to a fault. "This morning my day was work, home, shower, bed."

She leaned forward resting her chin on her hand, running the other hand through her hair. "What about you?" Jolie asked giving him a shy smile, "Was I a welcome surprise, or are you in the business of rescuing damsels?"

"I would not say I am in the business of it no" Chris said laughing as their drinks came and he took a sip.

"I however could not resist such a lovely creature" He told her his eyes traveling up and down her body before settling back on her eyes.

"Seems like rather a hum drum life" He told her leaning back "But I got to be honest a woman as.... alluring as you well you could have such an easier life with the right person at least after all what sounds better working? Or being stretched out on the deck of a yacht in a bathing suit while a man studies you as he also takes care of his work" He said sipping his drinks as a plate of appetizers came and was set on the table.

She looked away unable to tame her smile from his compliments, and unable to meet his intense gaze all the way. She took a healthy sip for her glass, letting the drink further calm her nerves.

As he spoke about a life much more lavish than hers, she studied him. His cool demeanor, his slick confidence. They didn't make men like this where she was from.

She forked a piece of the appetizer into her mouth, chewing slowly as she thought out her reply. She had never even dreamed of such things, they were for quiet girls such as herself. "Chris, I've hardly ever thought of relaxing on a yacht, much less seen one."

But she could imagine it. The rocking of the waves, the warm sun on her skin, glancing up to find she was being appraised shamelessly. She bite her lip at the image.

"Sounds lovely though."

"And what of your apartment?" Chris asked keeping on the pressure as he leaned in to study her.

"I cant imagine its very big or even nice.... What would you say to a mansion? One over looking the whole city?" He asked her draining his scotch in one smooth gulp and reaching for his beer. He didnt drink it though instead he tapped on it eyeing her as he ate a few of the appetizers and brushed his fingers against hers.

""What do you think of that?" He asked her raising an eyebrow and gauging her reaction.

One eyebrow crooked up at his questioning. He was not one for small talk, and this probably shouldn't have caught her off guard but it did.

"It's an apartment, it has walls... and running water. I can't complain," She said, shivering as his skin brushed hers, even though it was fleeting. She took a large swig from her drink, frowning at the cup as she thought hard. She imagined waking up to the sunrise over the city and held back a sigh.

"I'm sure not many would pick my ragtag apartment over a mansion," she slipped another appetizer in her mouth, finally looking him straight in the eyes. "Why do you ask?" She prodded, shifting in her seat.

"Why do I ask?" He said raising an eyebrow and snorting "I thought that was obvious"

The main food came, even though an order had never been placed.

"They know me here" Chris said smirking "They know what I like.... When you have the money I do... Well most people know it"

He pulled out the roll of money once more and placed it on the table.

"This could help your situation" Chris told her smiling at her "Of course thats paltry compared to what I COULD offer you which is sufficient to say all that was previously stated and more"

Jolie was flabbergasted, and alas very oblivious. He was offering mansion, yachts, and rolls of cash. Her body flushed, embarrassed at what he was implying, and she attempted poorly to cover herself.

She was unable to look at her food; her appetite put on hold, only Chris as he smirked and boasted his wealth and power.

"I imagine it's a lot of people's jobs to know what you want," she gauged outoud.

She gulped, trying to ignore the money blatantly on the table in front of her and she huffed slightly. "What do you want from me?" She almost didn't want to hear his proposal. Jolie gulped down the rest of her beverage, suddenly wishing she was much more buzzed than her current state.

"Straight to the point I admire that" Chris said smirking at her and watching as she gulped down her drink. He ordered another one for her but gave the waiter a look that said she was not to have any more. He began to eat his food munching on it before looking up at her.

"Tell me Jolie" Chris said eyeing her up and down "Have you had a lot of boy friends? A lot of sex?"

Her eyes widened and she squeaked in response. "I.. uhm. Well, fuck." She took a deep breath and thanked the waiter graciously as he placed another drink in front of her.

Jolie had only had one boyfriend, and one lover. Both of them, the man that walked out of her life today without a care. Sure, she had made out with a few boys and girls in high school, but to put it lightly she was not 'popular' in that way.

She let out a nervous laugh, followed by a encouraging sip of her drink. "Blunt as well," she bit her lip looking at him threw her eyelashes, "just the one boyfriend, let your imagination take it from there." She felt a heat pooling in her and she ignored it.
