The people at Lit have always been very good at finding things, feel free to use this thread to post requests for that long lost item.

One of my fruitless searches.

She is an Aussie artist, no idea of the name, I think I got the part I have from a computer magazine cd/dvd (yes I have checked them all, don't ask how many I have) but have had no luck tracking it down.
Here's the link to the bit I do have, maybe someone has the rest.

Let it out.mp3

My first love.

Her name when I knew her was Crystal Worrell, but as far as the Internet can tell me, she doesn't exist. This sounds bad until you remember how many people there are who simply prefer to stay anonymous where the Web is concerned--even in my generation, who were born at the dawn of the Information Age.

She'd be 26 now, blonde and blue, but I have no other details as her family moved to Sacramento when I was 8. Her mother was divorced and had to raise her daughters herself, so the most logical answer is that she (the mother) remarried and her kids changed their name to match. Maybe Crystal's married too by now; especially if Mother Nature blessed her with a generous figure. Maybe she's rich and intellectual somewhere; she was smart, smarter than me sometimes. But her upbringing wasn't the best either; mom working minimum-wage jobs to make ends meet, kids being babysat by a bitter grandmother and the boob tube. Then she moves to a metropolis and God only knows what happens: gangs, drugs, STDs, violence. Maybe she's dead.

If you should happen to meet a mid-20s blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl named Crystal, ask her if she has a younger sister named Sydney and if they ever went to Stevens Creek Elementary School in Cupertino, CA. If she says yes, you've found my first love. Tell her that I love her, wherever she is and whoever she is now, and that I hope she's happy.

Don't be surprised if she doesn't remember me. She doesn't need to. It would be enough just to know she's alive.

Hey, good luck in your search. Try this site www.zaba search.com as long as you know her first and last name and what state she lives in this should get you closer. Maybe try a brother or her moms name. Good luck, Frank

Success

I guess.

Her name is Jessica Paige

I still don't have the full song though.

Influences
I am influenced to sing like myself by all the artists and bands that put on a fake accent ( I have nothing against an American accent - if you are American that is..)

I am influenced to write without cliches by all the songwriters whose lyrics you can predict a whole line ahead.

I am influenced to write with interesting melodies because i am tired of the repetetive, the ordinary, the predictable, the unimaginative.

I am influenced to write with beauty that makes people feel something good because I want to make people feeel better about their lives in some small way.

Local Aussies have influenced me by their originality: Steve Romig - My Dad.
Josh Romig - my brother, fast becoming a great singer and songwriter.

Nick Roy is a Melbourne singer songwriter who blows me away.
Shell Meehan is hippie meets folk and she is a true original from Bendigo,
Luke Howard whose magical piano playing affects my heart.
Spanish sensations SANTOS, George Kamikawa (Japanese Blues Cowboy)
Stevie Wonder - I adore everything he does and has done over the years.
Jonny Lang - one of my favourite passionate musicians - rock blues ( US)
Elton John - his DVD is one of my favourites - "Yellow Brick Road ’ album is one of my 10 desert island discs. I look forward to being stranded ( hope I have a DVD player with me..).

Billy Joel - love his piano playing, lyrics, melodies.. Brilliant!
Sheryl Crow - love her voice and songs about more than just "Baby I love you".
Ray Charles - loved the movie and love his style, voice and delivery.
Bill Whithers - "Grandma’s Hands" always makes me cry - so beautiful!!
I also love Missy Higgins, Rufus Wainright, Queen, Simon & Garfunkle, James Taylor, Crowded House, Jeff Buckley, Eric Clapton, Jason Mraz, The Beatles, Alanis Morissette, Carole King, The Eagles, Lenny Kravitz, Robert Johnson, Tracy Chapman, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eva Cassidy, Silverchair, Muse, Janis Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Clare Bowditch, Ricky Lee Jones, Crowded House, John Lennon, Top Shelf Jazz (Wales), Nick Lovell (Melb), Ross Wilson.
