Funny after all the years he spent in Montana Daniel Weber never thought he would end up in a tropical paradise. Of course he had thought his greatest fear would be sharks not dehydration or rust. He was good looking no model but his hair was now a light blonde his eyes the same blue, and his waist as tight as in high school track.
The tattered remains of his bush hat and tropical shirt clung to his frame as he waded into the small lagoon. The large kitchen knife attached to a broom handle plunged into the salty water. Missing the colorful fish he almost stuck himself as loosing footing in the soft sand he fell back. Already months after the big dark and he still could do no better the 50/50.
Grabbing a sac he walked up the beach and sat down inside a smattering of clams and tine shellfish. He could still see the cruise ship a tiny spec in the distance lodged the half burned wreck was stuck fast. He swore again he could se a woman waving to him maybe he was going crazy. He drank some more water from a plastic bottle with moonlight cruise plastered on the side.
