The losers and lunatics battling it out to lead the Democrats

This rogues’ gallery suggests the Dems are determined to lose the next election.

In today’s Democratic Party, nothing succeeds like failure. According to a recent poll tracker, the preferred candidates to contest the 2028 presidential election are a host of proven losers. Kamala Harris is the No1 choice, followed by Pete Buttigieg, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cory Booker and, of course, the slickest of all the failures, California governor Gavin Newsom.

Far less popular, it seems, are candidates who might appeal beyond the party faithful. Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro, who has cross-party support in his state, registered less than a quarter of the support banked by Harris among Democrats nationally. Other Democrats with a greater potential for success include Kentucky governor Andrew Beshear and Maryland’s Wes Moore, yet both of them failed to even break into the poll.

For most Democrats, as Ruy Teixeira notes, ‘the progressive moment’ has not ended, despite all evidence to the contrary. This has been made clear by their reluctance to denounce the recent riots in Los Angeles. A recent poll found that Ocasio-Cortez – who simultaneously downplayed the riots and blamed them on Donald Trump – is most likely to be considered the ‘face’ of the Democratic Party, followed by Bernie Sanders and foul-mouthed Texas congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. This sounds like a potential dream team… for the Republicans.

That's all they have left .

Any of those would make a better POTUS than any Republican you ever heard of in the past 50 years.

AOC is the one who would make the best POTUS -- she is not really a socialist, but at least is a DSA member. She would do something to fight the plutocracy, which no Dem since FDR has really done.

Second-best is Newsom, who is more realistically electable than AOC because he has a penis.

drunk fox news hosts with zero political experience x 2.

anti-vax bear cub eating, brain worm having, heroin addict moron for health head.

convicted felon, rapist, epstein list listed, pornstar paying president.

Another one of these threads.

Neat!

Pretty sure you're about 30 count on these now

She’s not really a socialist, just a card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America, you know, the group that wants to redistribute everything except accountability. AOC fighting the plutocracy is like a vegan chihuahua taking on a lion. She needs to return to bartending.

the 2 heads of the fbi have never held senior positions in any enforcement agency.
Non sequitur. Neither of those two appointments is relevant to candidates for President. How excited did you get when Joe Biden appointed these inexperienced people?

Xavier Becerra, HHS Secretary: A career lawyer and politician, not a healthcare professional—no public health or medical background reddit.

AOC's election, just like Ralph Nader's appointment as AG, would open bladders on every boardroom carpet in America.

Why that article sounds downright, what’s the word…oh yeah, biased.

Credible polling data will start becoming available in early November of next year. Anything before then about 2028 has the approximate value of soft serve ice cream on a hot sidewalk.

You really want to go there, old man?

You might recall in Trump's first term, he promised a bigger 'n better "Repeal and Replace of Obamacare"?
There was no plan, of course, so Republicans shrugged and simply attempted to repeal it in Congress, which failed by one vote (John McCain salvaged his legacy in one brief shining moment).

Trump encouraged states to unleash "lawfare" on Obamacare, and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxson answered the call, who filed lawsuit after lawsuit declaring that poor people, even white trash such as yourself, had no legal "right" to health care.

America needed a hero badly, and Xavier Becerra, then the Attorney General of California rose to the occasion. He did not have any training in healthcare or public health administration or "medical background" as you whined about, but he understood public healthcare POLICY better than just about anyone alive. He assembled an elite staff of public health policy attorneys to combat Paxson's assault on America.

The result was a Supreme Court decision (California v. Texas) that did something remarkable: the Roberts court.....the mother fucking ROBERTS SUPREME COURT....sided with California and patriotism against Paxson, Trump, and their "fuck the poor" MAGAts.

The ACA was golden. Even @HisArpy finally got badly needed medical coverage (coverage he was previously denied as a "pre-existing condition") and presumably your own crotchspawn could now get ACA coverage as well.

Xavier Becerra was an inspired pick to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
He's an American success story, and a better man than you'll ever be.

You continue to eat paste, decades after "aging out" of the public school system remedial classes that failed you.

Old man? I'm not you. He was an idiot who failed as Secretary of Health and Human Services, as were the rest of the Biden face plants.
