Yes, there are quite a few southern California threads up already.

But how about a thread where people post a little buit more about themselves, besides their gender, area code, location, marital status and age?

How about posting a brief compilations of your interests OUTSIDE the realm of sexual encounters? If that's all you're interested in, I respect that -- but then, simply go post in the other SoCal threads.

I'd like to get to know more about the Literotica members who are relatively local to me, so I figured I'd start this thread. To make things easier for everyone interested, here's a template that you can copy and paste into your post. Just fill it out, and see what everyone else says!

Since I started the thread, I guess I best post my stuff first...

I'm only trying to meet friends and people with common interests.

FAVORITE PASTIMES: I like creative and interactive story-telling activities. I love my TiVo! It lets me watch Boston Legal, the Ultimate Fighter, Friday Night Lights, the Unit, Two and a Half Men, Heroes and any other show that I decide to make room for in my otherwise busy life,


CURRENT INTERESTS/OBSESSIONS: I enrolled in a kendo class last January, and I'm getting rather obsessed with it and hope to get my black belt in 2010. I've been a Star Wars fan since I first saw Episode 4 in the movie theaters WAY back when I was 11 years old. I was greatly disillusioned after watching Episodes 1 and 2, but then broke down and saw Episode 3 -- and that got me back into being a Star Wars fan. Some of my internet friends convinced me to play Knights of the Old Republic (a Star Wars video game) and that was enough for me to for give George Lucas for Jar-Jar Binks and the midichlorians.


PERSON WHO I WOULD DEFINITELY FIND ATTRACTIVE: I'm only looking for friends. That said, looks attract me; personality keeps me. Regarding a woman's outward physical appearance, I'm MOST definitely attracted to women who look like those found on MyBoobSite.com. For personality, I get along most with women who are low-maintenance, kind, considerate, understanding, thoughtful, patient -- you get the drift.


TYPICAL FIRST DATE: I'm only looking for friends. That said, I prefer to meet my first date sometime during the day, where we are both unaffected by judgement-impairing influences. That way, we can do what we're supposed to do on a fair date: properly assess each other to see if we would like to go on a second date with each other.


DESCRIBE WHAT WOULD GUARANTEE A SECOND DATE: A mutual agreement to go on a second date? OK, that was a smart-ass answer... If I find that the woman meets my personality requirements (at the very least), then, yeah... I'd be open to a second date. A woman who meets the physical requirements but not the personality requirements would be good for a one-niter, but that's about it.

RECOMMENDATION FOR A SPECIFIC PLACE TO MEET OTHER LOCAL LITEROTICA MEMBERS FOR AN OFFLINE GET-TOGETHER: Some place during the day, so new-comers can feel more safe and secure. Some place where talking is allowed, but with minimal background noise so conversations aren't drowned out. A park or public garden might be good ideas... I'd suggest the Huntington Library's Botanical Gardens (http://www.huntington.org/) comes to mind. I'll edit my entry later on when other locations come to my attention or return to my goldfish memory...


REASONS FOR CHOOSING THE ABOVE LOCATION: Safety and security is first and foremost. Another is the ability to interact with people without unnecessary distractions. The ability to quickly evaluate if one is wasting one's time and needs to leave without making too big of a fuss. Price/Cost for meeting at the location.

YOUR REASONS FOR CHOOSING THE ABOVE LOCATION: Library because of the comfy chairs and yummy treats. The Gardens because it's rather serene, and right near a few eateries if things go well.
