I just want to see who has seen it already and what you thought.

Please don't tell the story or give it away at all...........

Other:

I never wanted it to end, I would have gladly sat there for another three hours :)

I loved it. I'm a big fan of the books, but I don't have them memorized. I didn't go in searching for every divergence from the original.

My daughter, who's never read the books, saw it with me and the only thing she didn't like was the ending. She was expecting the ending of the series, not the first book.

Exactly! I took my cousin to see it as his christmas gift and we both said, "FUCK, I wanted to see the rest!" That was the only disapointment I got from it.
I even cried alittle Sniffs:)

Well, I am going to see it tonight (I think......) and was curious what if anything people thought..........

I do know they filmed all 3 at once............so that means the second should be coming soooooooooooon.

:( Try Chistmas 2002, and 2003. I'll probably see it at least once more in a theatre, and will buy the DVD as soon as it's available.

They succeded in creating another world. It was worth everything they spent making it. I especially enjoyed the river rapids, & even better was the battle with the demon beneath the mountain.
It's not often an audience sits through a 3hour film& wants more.

I took my grandson's to see it this past weekend and we loved it. Didn't want it to end and can't wait for the sequel.

Excellent movie! It followed the book exactly. I think Tolkien is no longer rolling in his grave. God Bless JR and thank you for the wonderful stories!

best film i've ever seen maybe :p

very faithful to the books and great acting with every single character

usually in films you can always pick a few characters that just stunk for acting but in this film i doubt anyone can pick any :)

i was really tired at work today because i didnt get to bed till 1am after seeing the film last night :) but it was worth it

Excellent movie..... had to go and see it again two days later. Probably one of the best movies I have ever seen.

And there was one good thing when I saw the movie..... I recognized the places being filmed.

I did read the books, but didn't want to know of any plot twists that they might have put in the movie that are not in the book(s) is all.........

I know what you mean Chuckus. Hollywood has a way to destroy any piece of good writing. Without giving away any surprises, if you loved the book, you will be pleased with the movie.

Well I am going to the 6:10 PM showing today and will see for myself, thanks for all your thoughts.

I enjoyed the book(s) so I hope the movie(s) are as good. I have been waiting a long time for these to come out..........and am interested to see how the director,etc.. portrays some things.

You will NOT be disappointed! Wishing I was going with you to see it again. Will probably go again during the week.

Enjoy! :)

Agreed. :D You stated it perfectly Mistress.

I went to an earlier showing tonight and all I can say is

WOW

what a kick ass movie. That has to be the best movie I have seen, if not ever definitely in quite a while.

I can't wait for the next one.............

Glad you enjoyed it!!!!

I, too can't wait for the next movie. When is it suppose to be out?

Christmas 2002? Damnit I can't wait..........did you see the trailer for Episode 2 (Star Wars.......) or Blade 2?

Those look like some thrillers also...........and how about Austin Powers-Goldmember...........some good ones coming soon.

Rut roh??? Christmas 2002??? No friggin' way!

As much as I loved the first two Austin Powers movies, I think the clone looks stupid.

But, I can't wait for Scooby Doo or Blade 2.

The first blade kicked butt.........and it has been a long time coming for the sequel, so I hope it is good.

I just dig Mike Myers and his off beat humor.........yeah baby yeah!!

If you like Mike Myers as much as I do, you should rent the movie, "So, I Married An Ax Murderer".

You know actually I have been meaning to rent that one and just haven't yet.

He is so freaking off beat and out of nowhere with funniness........
