I've been fighting a cold all week - since last weekend - and I've finally succumbed to buying some good cold medicine.

DayQuil Liqui-Caps.

This shit is magic, yo! No more stuffiness. No more coughing. No more runny nose. And it's making me really, really.....loose!

I'm wacked out on cold medicine. Wahoooo!

I'll behave...I could get into serious trouble like this.

Hard Mike's has to be accompanied with cheesecake, chocolate of course. Triple chocolate with chocolate chips preferred.

Smothered in warm, gooey hot fude sauce, topped with real whipped cream and after a few more Mike's the toppings don't always stay on the cheesecake.

Did you sleep well? I have always found that any "-quil" package (day- or nighttime) would ultimately put me away for hours! Never had Mike's Hard Lemonade but hopefully the combination gave you a peaceful night's rest!

I'm still sniffling myself, but will wait until tonight to try and get "buzzed".

Mmm...last night, the only way that would have happened would have been, to paraphrase Charlton Heston, to pry it from my cold dead fingers. To my credit, though, I only had two, then hit the iced tea, because I was damned thirsty most of the night!

I do feel a lot better, but still taking the meds. It does make me loopy, but still able to work. Oddly enough, LRC and Jenny, it didn't make me sleepy at all. It's a non-drowsy formula. If I want to get knocked out from cold meds I just do Ny-Quil. That's knockout juice for me. The Day-Quil is just the shit, though!

Glad you're able to be up and about, Jim. All those "-quils" affect me the same way, non-drowsy or not!

Now, regarding this Mikes... how is it sold? My local bar doesn't sell it (I've heard others order it though). Is it expensive? It does sound refreshing!

I buy it at the supermarket or local beer/soda distributor (sometimes called a package shop in other parts of the country), sold in 6 pack bottles mostly....

avg price for a six pack, probably $5-7, depending on the store, plus deposit...

When I'm home though I just adore the nyquil, I take it and I'm like in a coma. Which with two kids and a hubby, you gotta be in a coma to get some rest and feel better!

DayQuil is the cocain of cold meds. Sure, you won't know where you are going or even how you got there, but you'll get there in a damn hurry!

I once hallucinated off of NyQuil... Well, it could have been partly because of the flu; all I know is, I saw COLORS!

You forgot the hot tea... That's a Hot Tottie without the tea. It really works better with hot tea. Try it with hot tea some time!

I was contemplating this, as a tea, with some honey and lemon. I have some Jack Daniels I could have used, but, given how loopy I was with the Mike's Hard Lemonade, I didn't want to chance it further.

gram probably told me to put it in tea come to think of it. lol But I like me tea iced, so I just made it in a mason jar and took a few swigs when i needed it. I'll have to try it in the hot tea next time! No wonder I slept so well, I didn't water it down at all
