I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I'm just wondering where a girl starts if she's looking to get published? Any ideas? I've never been on a site like this so I don't know how it works. Help with that would be wonderful as well.

Sorry, smart aleck today. First off, welcome to Lit. If you like writing stories with an erotic bent this is a great environment to learn your craft, find readers and find support with like minded people.

To get started, well, write. If you want, read some stories. Check the New Stories section for an idea of what people are writing currently. Check whatever categories you enjoy for stories you might like.

But write, post them for submission, standback and suffer the pleasure and pain of voting, feedback and public comments.

Warning : it can be addictive.

As to publishing, when you are published here, thousands see your stories. There are some threads here on places that pay you to write. I gather no one is getting rich but some are indeed getting paid to write.

Seconded on what Ted said; this is not really the place to come to get published. There are tales of people being published simply through Lit work, but they're one in a thousand. If you want to get published, you have to write, submit loads of stuff to various magazines and publishers and hope they like you.

What this place is good for is getting good enough so that someone will like you. I guarantee that you will improve your writing by being here and applying yourself and I also guarantee that you can learn from the people here. We're all very friendly and willing to share whatever knowledge we've picked up.
