I'm straight but I have a lesbian friend who owns a sex shop. What she said to me was, "Lez be friends!" I thought that was the perfect way to put it. It allowed me an out if I wanted it, which I did, but it also conveyed her interest in me. She said that about 40 years ago or so. We're still friends.
