Looking to DM a DND 4e game

Anybody interested in playing a story-driven 4th Edition DND game? Just gaging interest now. Have many ideas, but probably one set in the Dark Sun campaign setting like my weekly tabletop group (DMing that one too).

Totally up to discuss level and other stuff like that. Ideally, I'd like to find between 4 and 6 players. Don't worry too much about role (Defender, Leader, Striker, Controller), just want to have some fun and be creative with some of my fellow lit'ers

Don't worry if you don't have any prior 4th Edition DND experience. If you have the source material, I can teach you what you'd need to know

totally interested I have the players book but haven't found a group to play with yet... will you be handing out pre-gens or will i have to actually open that book dun dun daaah... LOL have fun

I'm up for it. Although a lot of the DnD type threads die on here. But if you are willing to try it out then shoot me a PM in case I forget to check back.

I have a Players Handbook, but I'm not sure I know how to read it properly yet. But I could just fluke a basic character.

Could we aim for perhaps Lv 10 characters? Or maybe even do it opposite and start off as completely normal people, and develop our skills as we go from scratch. Just plain old normal folk destined to a path of greatness.

Trained through heartache and misfortune, and forged by pure survival of those tasks.

How would you even begin to play DND on a forum? From what i understand from playing a few times is it's hard to keep track of what is going on in person, let alone online. For example how can you confer with other people in your group quickly here? In person you can just ask outloud.
