Thanks in advance for the help, been trying without luck to find a story using search and different combos of related words.
If I remember correctly, it was in the LW category. Don't remember much of the start but halfway through the story, the main protagonist gets together with a girl since their mothers knew each other from church. The girl had sort of a wild past but seems more now and they eventually get married.
At some point the protagonist catches some call/messages to her wife from somebody back from her highschool days talking about getting together again and referencing some sort of wild episode in the past between her and three guys.
Wife has to attend some sort of business/work trip and since the husband is suspicious he hires a PI to follow her and check if she's cheating or going to cheat.
During her time away the PI can't find anything and on her last day, when she was supposed to meet the three guys, they are left alone at the hotel lobby trying to get her on the phone but getting no answer, during this the PI lost track of the wife since she never went to meet the guys.
Back home from the trip, turns the wife never intended doing anything with the three guys and when the PI lost track of her she went to a previously arranged meeting with a vendor to buy some sort of part from a bike/car that had some sort of special meaning for the husband.
Premise of the story is about creating suspicion of cheating since the wife used to be a little wild when younger but turned out to be in fact that she changed for the better and became an actual loyal and loving wife.
Hope that's enough info that it might ring a bell for someone.
