~November 31, Perth, Australia~

There is only one exam left until finals are over. Junior students creep around Lawson College campus like mice, terrified of the automatic detentions handed out for disturbing the seniors. The seniors are easily identifiable by their manic behaviour as they swing between elation at finishing, sadness at leaving a place they've loved for five years, and stress over exam results. Every single one of them knows that the second the examiner says "Time's up" for the last time, then the biggest party of their life is going to start.

Stacey:

"Stace, are you okay in there?" I hear a voice vaguely, and someone pounding on the toilet door. God! I am going to throw up, I am going to fail all my exams, never get to uni, die a loser in a gutter somewhere. Why the fuck didn't I study for French??

Ten minutes. My whole life depends on this paper and I have to finish in ten minutes???? My mother's voice echoes through my head.
"It's all up to you Stacey Marie. If you get straight A's then your father will live up to his promises- your whole degree paid for, that little red sports car, that trip to Vienna... all yours, Stacey. So why don't you just stay home tonight and study, there's a good girl!" But that couldn't help me now. No amount of self torture could help me finish a five-hundred word essay in perfect, grammatical French in ten minutes. Oh God! Well, who really gives a fuck? I slash a big black line through my essay. Fuck it. Two hours and I'd be on Rottnest Island at the biggest, longest, hottest party of my life!! The motto of leavers is "To have have sex with as many different people, in as many different outdoor locations as possible". I've always been a stickler for mottoes!

<ooc>
What happens on the Island?? As many different characters as possible are fun for this.

;)

OOC: I forgot to mention that the Island is a portal. So basically a bunch of high school leavers trapped in another world.

Sure, why not. I'll sign up. Never been one to turn down a challenge.
How about.
Frank.
All time brainiac. Would rather spend his summer in a book than on the the beach.
Classic nerd, even down to the horn rimmed glasses. Loves college only because in high school the nerd is always picked on. Here they are simply ignored, except for the occasional hot blonde who absolutely needs an essay done in a few days. It's interesting how much a woman will sacrifice for a good education.

Um... doesn't this belong in the SRP? Oh well, for the meantime I'll play along.

Name; Ben.
This is the classic shadow of a person. Way too eccentric for his own good. He can't talk to women, that is, he can't talk to them in such a way as to score a date, letalone score in general. He Even chickened out of going on this trip, but his korean friend dragged him along, telling him "it's for your own good".

Sizably, he's kinda small. that includes everything. He's thin, a little short (only 5'4") and has a diminuitive member. His hair is kept short, because it's unmanagable past an inch long. He allways wears a hat and goggle-like sunglasses. Even inside or at night.

the one time he's got some was with a slut. Not a hooker. He didn't pay her a dime, but he could tell that she was too loose and he was very bad.

On an upnote, not much get's him off, he's been practicing too much. That means that he can really go the distance if you know what I mean.

Stacey:

The ferry is packed. I wave at my friends and try to shout "Hi" to them, but I'm surrounded by my screaming classmates.

I have never felt this good before. I stand on tiptoe looking over the edge, watching the water foam and froth. I'm free!!! Breathing deep I let go of all the crap I've been feeling since exams started. Just a twenty minute ferry ride and we'd all be partying hard on the beach.

I try to move through the crowds on deck. Oh god, that wanker Frank! He helped me on an assignment a while back and ever since I feel like I owe him.

"Hi Frank," I give him a weak smile "I didn't know that you were coming on for Leavers- I thought you got seasick!"

OOC: Hi! Cryo- yup this will go medieval soon- and I thought that I'd add that Korean friend you mentioned into the mix!

Jeong:
Slender Australian born Korean. Begged her strict, religious parents to let her come on leavers and only got permission if Ben went too. Jeong's parents think that Ben is a nice responsible boy. They've know him for years.

Jeong is smart and ambitious. Brought up to work hard and make her parents proud. She is ambiguous about her Korean heritage- feeling torn between her two cultures.

Ooc: Don't worry, it's loosely based around a plot, which is good enough for me.

Frank stared over the reailing, looking down at the water as it slowly passed them. Their destination, some sort of party island. He didn't care for partying much. It seemed like the place to go. The coral around this island was to die for, not to mention the shallow pools. Why, in a week's time he could explore nearly a hundred species of...
"Ahhh," Frank was so deep in thought that when someone spoke his name he nearly had a heart attack. He slipped the glasses back on his face, looking at the one who spoke.
Didn't she look familiar. He swore he had seen her before, a class maybe? In passing? Her name was on the tip of his tongue. It was Macy, or Gracy. Lacy or something?
"Stacy!!" He said rather loudly, smiling as he did. She was the last person he expected to see here. Well, the last person to even recognize his existence. Parties were a nerd's nightmare.
"Oh, yeah," he pulled out of his pocket a bottle of perscription drugs, "Makes everything calm while on the boat. I don't have anything to worry about."
He looked at her, as if seeing her for the first time.
"What are you doing here? I never thought of you to be a party girl. Going to 'get your freak on?'"

Ben leaned over the side, puking his git's out. Allready this was turning out to be a bad trip. "Oh man, you'd think I could do something simple like holding my lunch in, but noooooo. How the hell an I going to survive this? Urp-" He leaned over again and spewed some more out. Finally empty, he limped back inside and took a seat.

Ben sucked at everything he did. He even failed at being a nerd. The only thing he's good at is not getting sick. His immune system was the best on the ship. Ben never in his life ever suffered from viruses, flu's, colds, infections, plagues, or other diseases. He can (and frequently for the sake of showing off) eats the dirtiest of things and never shows it. He can cut himself deeply with a rusty knife and the wound would simply heal without somuch of a scar, letalone an infection. (it takes normal time to heal, just no sideaffects.)

but being very healthy wasn't a skill. He liked to pride himself on his sniper ability, seing as he spends hundreds of dollors at the arcade playing Silent Scope 1 and 2, and whatever shooter games are available.

THis is going to be a long trip. I wish I was going home.

Jeong:

Jeong looked at Ben puking over the side of the railing. She felt a slight twinge of guilt over dragging him to Leavers. But after five years of being the good girl, Jeong felt she deserved to let her hair down.

She went to the on-deck kiosk to buy Ben a bottle of water. Maybe this would help. She'd never known him to be sick their entire friendship- usually he was the one trying to be sympathetic (and failing miserably) while she suffered through the flu, hayfever or sinusitis.

She wondered if he would ever figure out her crush on him. As if!! Ben thought of her as his annoying kid sister- if he ever thought about her at all! She sighed, blinking back sudden tears. She blindly stumbled towards the toilets, hoping no one would see her.

Stacey:

I looked at Frank blankly:
"You don't think I'm a party girl?" God! What planet was this guy from? Maybe he didn't see me in the social papers every week, or go to any school events. He was so weird. "Frank, I am- or was, Social Director at Lawson... didn't you know? Actually, I'm the one that did all the Lawson bookings on the Island"
I swept my hair out of my eyes impatiently. "Anyway, I've been meaning to say thanks for your help on that Chemistry assignment- you really saved my ass on that one. My father had threatened to cancel my eighteenth birthday party if I failed Chem."

Oops! I bit my tongue- too late. How rude, to mention a party that I hadn't invited him too. I looked down, blushing. Maybe Frank was a nerd, but that didn't give me a license to make him feel excluded.

"Oh? So you do remember me. I thought maybe it was just some weird coincidence. Yeah, I usually don't get out much. In fact, this is the first time I've ever been away for the weekend to a party island, or a party anything for that matter."
He searched the sea, looking for a subject to talk about.
"So, how do you busy yourself nowadays? I doubt chemistry is still a pressing issue in your mind, but what is?"

Stacey:

Frank was irritating me. His whining tone- like he was trying to guilt trip me for something. He reminded me of a dog that's been kicked a few too many times, and now always expects harsh words and abuse. I smiled tightly at him.
'Oh I don't know," I tried to answer politely, "Chemistry was interesting, I guess I just wasn't too good at it. Now I just want to forget about study and party hard on the Island." I narrowed my gaze.
"In fact, why are you here, Frank? It does seem a little predatory for you to come to Leavers' this year- I mean, you're in college now and everything. "

I can't help myself from glaring at him. He was putting me into a really bad mood, and it was such a let down from the exhilaration I had been feeling earlier. Now I just felt bitchy and snappy.

OOC: Yes, I know I have changed tenses, that's because I found it too hard to write effectively in the present tense. Sorry!

Having suffuciantly recovered, Ben went back onto the deck. That Jeong is some friend, he thought. Still though, the last time he suffered this much, he was wrestling a 150 lb friend. It may have been a mock submission fight, but that armlock and sleeper hurt like hell. And Ben was never one to give up. His nick name was "The Kid that never Quits". He can endure an unbelievable amount of pain simply to tire his opponent out. Only once he was forced to tap out, but that was an extreme circumstance. Even Ben was human you know.

Looking around the stern of the boat, he didn't see too many familiar faces, so he walked to the rail and watched the water foam.

Well, actually I'm doing some scientific research," he doubted this would interest her, but continued nonetheless, "Some experiments and things on the island. I'm supposed to meet a Doctor Monroe there, and we'll be spending most of the weekend together."
He sighed deeply, "I doubt that's your idea of fun, but it will be quite uplifting. We are hoping to find a new species of vachinitus pussinius. And of course when we finally..."
He saw the look on her face.
"You know," he retorted, "Not everyone's idea of having fun is sleeping around."

OOC: It sounds if this might be a lot of fun. If I could I would love to play the part of Richard, he is the typical friends/charmer type. He spends alot of his time with his friends but there are times that he spends by himself, usually reading or writing something. He is a helpful person but asks nothing in return.

He is a friendly person and will usually offer advice and help a person when asked. He will stand out in a crowd and is somewhat the first person seen in that crowd. He is always seen wearing sunglasses and a cap. He is tall at 6' 3" and sometimes wishes that he weren't so tall, hence the standing out in a crowd.

Welcome!

ooc: we'd love to have you, just jump in, maybe with a bit about your history at Lawson. Feel free to assume history with either of my chars!

OOC: Sorry about that, I forgot about the history. Well, Richard is one of the people that is extremely glad to get out of Lawsons although he is confident that he passed all of his exams. He is somewhat a brainiac as well as a jock- plays rugby, soccer and wrestles.

He has had one steady girlfriend since his first year at Lawsons but she dumped him in the final week, leaving him devestated. He had gone into a slight social coma as he is only concentrating on his writing and reading and nothing else.

IC: Richard looked up from his book and looked over at the rail to see Ben resting against it, looking out over the water. He didn't really know Ben but they did often talk to each other about every little thing. Richard rested back against the chair that he was sitting on with a smile before going back to his book.

As he read his book he hoped that this trip would be better than the hell that he had just been through. His girlfriend, Amy had ripped his heart out and stomped on it the last week of school and he didn't even know why. His friends had tried to snap him out of the slump that he was in but nothing that they did worked for him as all that it was was drinking, parties and a lot of sex. He knew that there was something better in this world than that and that was why he was going on this trip, he wanted to find something better.

He went back to his book and began to read it again, hoping that nobody would recognize him.

Stacey:

My first thought is to slap him across the face. Instead I start to giggle. Slapping would too easy. A more ... sophisticated revenge pops into my head.
"Actually Frank." I manage to choke out between giggles "I think that sleeping around IS everybodies' idea of fun. I mean, who wouldn't want to have sex all day?"

I deliberately glance down at his pants to see if this is having any effect. "Afterall, Frank," I lower my voice, and lean in to him a little bit, pulling back my shoulders a little so that my breasts strain against my pale blue sun dress. "You must admit that it that it feels amazing to fuck, have all that glorious skin against skin," I glance down at his groin again, choking back my laughter.

Whoah...
Whoah...
Whoah!!!
WHOAH!!!
Frank got this sort of confused look in his face as he saw Stacey here right next to him. She was practically asking him to go at it. He didn't know what to say, no one had ever argued with him by flirting before.
Hell, no one had even flirted with him before.
Wow, it felt kinda cool. Like he was a somebody.
He tried to keep the same dull look on him before, but it was gone. All of it.
"I uhhh... but you're just... Yeah, that's a good point but.... It's just that... "
He sighed, looking defeated.
"Yes, nothing can replace sex for fun. Love romance, lust, physical pleasure. Nothing can even come close to the possibility of two bodies getting off of each other."
He hadn't noticed it, but a large erection had been growing in his pants. He quickly faced the sea, looking around sheepishly.
"Ummm... I'm sorry. I guess I must have gotten carried away."

Jeong:

Jeong splashed her face with cold water. Her eye make up ran a little bit, and she patched it up with a shake hand.
"Get a grip, girl" she hissed at her reflection. She shook herself and took a couple of deep breaths. She didn't know why she was feeling so emotional. Maybe it was the stress of the past year.

Unbeknownst to anyone at Lawson, Jeong had been taking pre-med classes at the local university as well as her regular high school work. So this year, she would be accepted straight into the exclusive Medicine program at the University of Melbourne- on the other side of the country. Jeong had been planning her escape from her parents for a long time. When the uni had approached her as a scholarship candidate, based on her outstanding scores, she had jumped at the chance to leave Perth.

But now that she was so close to her dream, she couldn't bear the thought of leaving strange, crazy Ben behind. They had been looking out for each other since childhood, and the thought of a new life thousands of miles away from him scared the shit out her.

She smiled weakly at the mirror. At least Ben had no idea how much she cared for him. That made her huge crush a little less humiliating.

She slowly slipped out of the bathroom, hoping that no one would notice her for a while.

As she made her made back up onto deck, she noticed a strange thing. The setting sun had sunk halfway down into the horizon. The island had disappeared against the glare- and in fact, it looked like the ferry was headed right into the huge, glowing fireball. She grinned at her thoughts. Living on the west coast, she should have become accustomed to sunsets like these.

Stacey:

I hear someone yell out:
"Open bar!! Drinks are on me!" All around me, students stampede down the stairs, pushing each other in their quest for free booze.

I'm more interested in the job at hand. I glance around deck. The only people I can see are the strange kid Ben puking over the side again, his tiny Asian friend and a really tall guy I don't know. Perfect. A little bit of privacy.

I allow myself a tiny smile, seeing as Frank has his back turned on me. Mischievously, I slip a hand up under his sensible polo shirt, and trace lightly up and down his spine.
"Somehow I can't imagine you getting carried away, Frank. You seem so damn sensible."

God! That sunset was so bright- it looked, honest to God, like we were going to sail right into the sun itself. But I was having too much fun to care about a little glare. This was going to be the best story to tell! By the time I'd finished with him, Frank would be the laughingstock of the entire Island.

I brushed up against him, breathing softly into his ear. God! Was he actually trembling? I stifled a giggle and softly rimmed his ear with my warm tongue.

Frank leaned up harder against the rail as he felt her hand caress his back. He bit his lower lip, not expecting this. What was she trying to do? In the back of his mind, a huge red light was popping up. Something wasn't right about this at all. He dimissed it, though, he dismissed it all.
A woman had never touched him like this before. It sent shivers up his spine, unconsciously he leaned back into her touch. His body rubbing against hers.
With a lowly gutteral sound, he rolled his tongue over his lips.
"Well, even the most sensible need a little break every now and then," he said, trembling slightly. Her breath, caught on his neck. Lustfully erotic.

Richard heard the shout for the drinks and thought about getting one for himself but then decided against it because he didn't want to start throwing up over the railing like Ben. He put his book into his back and slung it over his shoulder then got up off his chair and walked over to the railing. He turned his head and looked at the sunrise and wished that he hadn't as the sun seemed to shine straight through his sunglasses and into his eyes.

He turned his head and began blinking as his eyes began to sting and he wondered out loud, "Now that is weird, I have never seen the sun do that before."

Jeong:

Jeong started to sweat. It had suddenly become incredibly hot. And she could smell smoke- and something more rancid. In disgust she grabbed her bags and walked over to get Ben and take him below deck. This revolting stench couldn't be doing his queasy stomach any good.

The heat increased by the second. So did the glare. Jeong could barely keep her eyes open against the unbearable brightness.

It got suddenly cold. A cool breeze blew over the deck, causing goosebumps to quiver along his skin. Ben Loved the cold. He allways wore a T-shirt and shorts untill the morning temperature was Below freezing. He threatened himself with hypothurmia that way, but he didn't mind. It felt that good.

The cold air did wonders for his stomach. Feeling like a new man, He stretched his arms behind his head and breathed the sweet snow smelling air.

His friend was trying to drag him inside. Jeong was sweating and holding her nose. Ben put his hand on her forhead. "Are you sure you don't need to lie down? it's cold out here and your sweating!"

"Cold!? it's hotter than hell!" she yelled, "And it stinks too!" Ben took a carefull sniff of the air. only smelling the water and cold, he shrugged. Jeong contintued to try and drag him inside, but he insisted he was fine. She hesitantly let go and went down without him.

When she was gone, Ben looked up into the sun. It appeared to be a pale, dark red. That might have attributed to the sudden cold. no sun to heat up the air. Oh well. With the temperature dropping by the moment, he decided to relax and enjoy the trip as much as he can. Maybe in a couple of days I'll break down and do embarresing things, but for the meantime....

he had no idea what was actually coming.
