As far as I know "they" work every day of the year. New stories post every day of the year.

I saw a new batch of stories posted when I woke up this morning. Not mine yet, though.
Do they just do one batch of stories a day? Should I just check back tomorrow or check in occasionally during the day?

They put out full batches of stories on Tuesday through Saturday (usually > 100 new stories per day), but only half batches on Sunday and Monday. I believe the stories usually come online around midnight US east coast time, although it may be that some stories don't show up until later in the day. So checking last thing at night or first thing in the morning will probably be good enough.

No, they start showing up at 3:00 AM EST, which is Midnight on the West Coast.
