Looking for wife disappearance/transformation story

Hello, greetings! Looking for stories with them of a wife/fiance/girlfriend disappearing and then becoming radically altered/transformed into a different personality and appearance.

Inspiration from Political Fortune by Shorterbus. Unfortunately, the author never fully completed the story. It's about an activist high class housewife whose protests against a local strip club results in her disappearance and transformation into one of the strippers for the strip club franchise. What's interesting is that, in addition to physical transformations, she is forced to adapt to a new identity, answering to a new name, and a new life story.
