Looking for two stories of romance I think

The first was about a guy who protects a little girl who has been separated from her grandma in a shopping mall. He then falls in love with the timid mother who struggles being around men. He slowly coaxes her out of her shell.

The second is about a guy who has cancer and falls in love with a girl at a strip club who is trying to make money for a better life. The guy has this obsession with restoring a house so they restore a house together.
