Hello, I'm looking for two stories, both are likely in the Loving Wives category.
Story #1:
Wife's routine has her playing cards with a male friend of her and her husband. Husband (for some reason I cannot remember) drives over to friend's house and discovers his wife sleeping with his friend. I seem to recall a scene where he considers taking a hammer from his friend's shed and confronting the couple, but he decides not to and leaves. After he confronts his wife later about her infidelity, she confesses that their friend liquored her up one day and seduced her. I believe he blackmailed her to continue the affair after that, but I'm not positive on that. During this time his job has him sent out of town to a secluded workplace, something like an off-shore drilling platform. Anyways, while there he ponders what to do with his fucked up situation and he makes friends with one of the few females that works there. She is a bit of a loner since she has been harrassed often, even to the point where some of her male coworkers make sure that any guys that talk to her know she's protected. During his time at this workplace, he decides to give his wife another chance. They communicate through email and he tells her that she isn't allowed to see their (former) friend any more. She agrees to that. A little while later he's emailed a picture from another friend that has his wife kissing the man she had the affair with. He's naturally heartbroken, but decides to test the wife just to make sure. He emails her asking if she has seen the other man lately, she tells him that she has not. That final bit broke any trust he could ever have in her and he replies to her email with the photo. She comes clean and pleas to him that it isn't what it looked like, that the friend kissed her and she pushed him away. It's the truth, but the damage is irreparable and he bites the bullet and chooses to divorce her. Around this time his job no longer needs him at the work site and he's sent home, he decides to head to the state that his female co-worker lives in (her job was finished and she was sent home before him) and see if that connection leads to anything.
I honestly don't remember some of the specifics (I'm terrible with names and locations), but I hope this was enough information to help locate the story.
Now onto the next story I'm having trouble finding.
Story #2:
Husband and wife are having marital problems. I cannot for the life of me remember why they're fighting. I don't believe either of them cheated on the other, it may have been related to the husband's job as a detective/cop. Anyways, he decides to leave (or she asks him for a separation, not sure which). So, he goes to stay with his former partner, naturally it's an attractive female cop. While staying there for a few days we see the chemistry each has for the other, but I don't remember anything physical happening. I do seem to remember them talking about the possibility of getting together if his marriage cannot be saved, or maybe they talk about why they never hooked up. Everything up until this has been fairly vague, but I think the ending of it may trigger someone's memory: While he's spending the night at his former partner's house, they hear a noise. Since they're both cops, they react as you would expect a cop to react: by getting their weapons and investigating. They see a shadowy form and notice the unknown thief has a gun, they shoot in self-defense and the thief goes down. When they get closer to the person, they realize it's the husband's wife.
I'm hoping that someone recalls either of these stories and can provide a link, I appreciate any help that can be given.
