So, I'm looking for help finding the title of a book I read a few years ago. I cant remember the title or author, so I will post what I remember of the plot and hope someone here will know one of the two.
Woman from modern America travels to middle east. In an antique shop run by a local man with gray (blue?) eyes she buys a lamp. Somehow she gets transported into the past (early American times, possibly before the Revolutionary War) and due to the color of her hair (red I think) she is married to the Sultan. A man with eyes similar to those of the shop dealer is her assigned Eunuch. She manages to convince the Sultan that she is in mourning for her husband and is not called to his bed for a year. In that time an American (captain of a ship I think) takes place in a battle against the palace and somehow she ends up on his ship. At some point while on the ship she is transported back to modern day America. She is there for 3 days and goes to visit the (now historical) house of the man who rescued her from the Sultan. While in his bedroom she is returned to his time and is discovered in his room, 3 years having passed for him. The story ends shortly thereafter.
If anyone has ANY ideas that can help me find out the title of this story, please let me know.
