Looking for the title of a romance between a nerd and a fashioned challenged girl where his BFF has an affair to try and capture the chemistry betwee

What I can recall:

• this is a longer one - perhaps with a sequel
• An Asperger guy with his more extroverted best friend
• Very good at his job
• New girl - very pretty but unfashionable /not flattering clothes and hair
• The Asperger nerd and her have an instant connection
• Everyone is amazed at their connection
• They have a girl
• Then, at a party, overhears that she had a fling with his best friend: best friend was trying to capture some of the amazing love they held between them for himself - but the love is special because of them both
• The best friend then jokes that the daughter could be his
• The girl admonishes him and relays that the dates don’t match
• The Asperger guy avoids her at the party
• then it comes out and he separates
• ? Unsure if reconciliation
• ?follow up story where the best friend and his conduct comes out - and he dies unmourned
